- Many young players with potential get compared to Messi. Players like Mo Salah, Bojan, and Neymar have all been declared as the next Messi earlier on in their career. Few players actually manage to break Messi's record and the "Korean Messi" Lee Seung Woo 이승우 did just that. Barcelona's transfer ban derailed his career with this video studying the curious case of the "Korean Messi".

1 Note about that, Messi was so good at the youth devision of Barca ,he was actually being bounced back and forth between all levels of La Massia because everyone wanted to use his abuility. Its possible if he ever played a full season at the youth division he would have set an impossible record.

this asian kid is not even close to the goat
Seems like he was an overly cocky kid but he got screwed at prob the most important developmental time in a huge chunk of his teen years as one matures beyond adolescence. It didnt help that he couldnt train with top academy and just sat in Korea with poorer training and competition and getting his head filled with how good he is.
What happened?
