Thanks for making this video! I got my Pampered Chef stone loaf pan and I wasn't sure if I could make banana bread in it and if I needed to butter the loaf pan before I used it. I just fired a stoneware loaf pan from clay in my backyard. It worked! Free+time. I know they remain porous and you want to avoid them absorbing anything that will spoil. Lard or shortening are ok to seal them, and they can be cleaned also by heating to high temperatures. I just recently learned we have been doing it for thousands of years :) Thankyou for sharing! Now I have an odd craving for tasty bread made in stoneware :)
Q: What did you spritz the pan with? I'm Brand new to owning the stoneware. I have not used it at all yet and want to bake sourdough bread today. Good video but think about the person who's not even touched stoneware, like ever. Like me! 😊
When baking, do you use nonstick cooking spray? Does food stick to stoneware when cooking or baking? ...for example putting batter or casserole in a dish...?

Oops, I’m wrong, a kitchen spritzer should be okay, just not an aerosol oil spray.
I think I’ve read to use only solid butter or lard/shortening, never an oil spray.
