1:12 - I find it odd that Blockbuster was advertising this game, since the movie it was based on was a flop, and had come out the year before. Still, the “extreme” music playing in the background is hilarious.
That “You Wish” promo was a blast from the past (riffing on AT&T’s “You Will” campaign)! This was back when I basically kept MTV on in my room 24/7. I was a freshman in high school that Christmas of ‘94. Donkey Kong Country and Oasis’ ‘Definitely Maybe’ and Weezer were all I cared about in that exact moment in time!
Top Gear 2! Great sequel to the original. Plus that's the second time I saw the extremely rare "Hang In There" MTV technical difficulty slide! The first time was sometime in 1997 and it stayed there for about a minute.
I don't blame you for not posting commercials after 1996, 80s CommericalVault. The last half of the 90s sucked, well for me anyways. I was renting video games and getting free bag of fresh popcorn on a friday from the mom and pop stores in the early mid90s. I hope you have a awesome XMas Mike.
Partnership For A Drug Free America PSA- I think the yellow color scheme in the atmosphere of the office shown in this PSA adds to the overall creepy feel of the PSA.
I walked right past John Waters about two months ago (October 2024). We were literally directly across the street from Trump Tower on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, which was interesting.
Christmas 94 I got a second SNES for XMas from my Dad. I was a shocked considering I "sold"my Dad, the first SNES I got the previous year for XMas as a part of a deal to get a Sega Genesis the previous summer.
as someone in my 20s sucks there isn't a tv channel as cool as mtv seemed to be in the 90s/00s with the music/adult cartoons. the boogerman commercial must've been a cut version since i saw the uncut version from vinesauce 9:53 that's steve blum
Man, they were really pushing Boogerman that holiday. I wonder about the kid who asked for that over Donkey Kong Country or Mortal Kombat II.
I’m so glad you left the John Waters interview in. Loved him ever since he was in the Simpsons (“zapppp”)

Huh, what an unintentionally inspiring message. "Dare to continue"
I was 15 during this time. I remember some of those commercials.
Same I was 15 in 94 seems like yesterday.
1:50 - This commercial totally should have inspired an actual video game. Would totally play it over Shaq Fu.

Yeah!!!! I was 7 and the Nintendo Entertainment System, Pee Wee Herman and Rugrats were my obsessions at the time ❤ Boogerman looked like a fun game.
11:25 they should put some of that new kitchen lubricant Clark's conpany produces to give that sled some real power 💨
13. Milk- I think that Coffee would be a more go to beverage for people needing a lift on the way to work than Milk would.

I guess we were getting ready for Green Day's New Year's Eve 1995 concert on MTV.

Always Coca-Cola. Classic.
