I’m 38, was lowest from health perspective after covid. Was difficult to get up from sofa without holding my back and knees cracking. I started training for Ironman Triathlon in Oct 2022. This year I already did 3 Olympic distance triathlons (1.5 km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run).
    My VO2 max is 50.
My resting heart rate is 42 bpm.
Just in 1.5 years. Training 6 days a week everyday at 6am!
I am going to gift myself a full distance Ironman in 2025 when I am 40 years old. (3.8km swim, 180km cycling, 42km run).

At 38 years old, I underwent an angioplasty just three days ago. Despite leading a balanced lifestyle, with moderate physical activity, I was surprised to discover a 90% blockage in one of my arteries. This experience was a wake-up call for me, and I want to emphasize the importance of prioritizing health. Thankfully, my procedure wasn't an emergency, but it was a significant event in my life. I had to let go of my girlfriend 7 years ago, because she was (and still is) a workaholic, career minded, extremely competitive person, people who are more on proving the world how grandiose they are and always active in social media and away from nature, they generally don't last long. Thankfully, I learnt this and now in my 40 I am alone, but still happy and everyday, despite my IT work, I do spend a lot of time in nature, morning walk, enjoying with kids in the locality and simply being happy. And I have disconnected from most of friends and completely deleted social media, I feel more energised and every moment with genuine people. People only can learnt it themselves, if anyone try to teach they will generally ignore but time will teach everyone and break their ego.

When you are young, from the teens till the late 20s, we feel like we own the world, nothing can happen to us. But the moment you cross 35 and then approaching 40s, your body starts to show the wear and tear. Hence the term 40s crisis too. So take care of yourself too, not just work.

    Keep moving guys.
You might have 100 priorities but once you are sick, you have only one priority- HEALTH.
It isn’t necessary to build muscles or 6 pack abs, but staying fit is.
Don’t fall for scam “All shapes and body is beautiful”. No it is not until you are fit.
Our food, environment, work culture have been totally changed what it used to be 20 years ago.
Workout, and yoga is completely necessary these days. If you don’t workout be ready to be bedridden.
As I workout almost daily for past 6 years, I can feel the difference. You’ll have more immunity, more strength, motivation, and a lot other health benefits.

Absolutely right sir.. right now I am 34 and same things happened to me and I got hit by health anxiety and depression. I thought depression etc can never happen to me but when it happens you feel you are all alone in the world. I understood that what would I do with all the money if I am not healthy enough to use it or enjoy it. But I fought and changed my lifestyle and slowly started making small changes in daily routine. Started doing intermittent fasting and having dinner before 8 pm. Stopped smoking and drinking completely. Stopped junk food and sugar.started playing badminton daily. Thankfully Now I am out of this viscious cycle of stress and anxiety.
So I just want to say that stop running the rat race. Wherever you see there will always be someone who is doing better than you in life. If you keep looking at others you will never be happy in life. Be grateful to God for what he has given to you and enjoy it to the fullest. This video is a great initiative by Ranjit sir and more influencers should come out and share their stories so that people are inspired from them.

I feel that if there was someone to guide me when I was young then I wouldn't have to face all this.. so guidance from people like you can bring a world of change.. 🙏🙏

I am sharing my friend's experience with severe fatty liver, for those wondering :
My friend hasn't even touched alcohol ever or anything like that. His age was 24 when it became severe and he visited one of the top doctors in Asia and the doctor mostly advised him physical exercise. His condition was so bad that he was losing hope. He also had some high bilirubin problem due to which his skin became yellowish sometimes.
So, he started doing high intensity running daily for 1-2 hours and within 3 months, his fatty liver started improving and even the doctor was shocked with his progress. Now, he has lost a lot of weight, just by running and I think he took whey protein too during that phase.
So, I would suggest anyone who wants to do it, to do high intensity running, not just jogging. There is a big difference between the 2. You can burn more calories by just running at full speed for 1 min, than jogging slowly for 30 mins. So, be wise about ur workout and I hope you all see the difference.
And dont neglect your diet too. Avoid junk and sugars at all costs if you are too serious about it.

Later on started jogging for an hour early in the morning for four months and the toe pain vanished. And now for almost a year the issue never came back in life. @ajaylad172 & @geekyranjit is this something along the lines of osteoarthritis ? I faced a similar condition 5 months ago after a viral (that turned out to be chikan gunya).. pains in all joints, especially fingers, wrist, shoulder, ankle, feet.. alopathy did not help at all.. ayurvedic started making some difference and then increased physical activity and protein intake made it much better.. still recovering though..

I live by myself away from family and it becomes difficult even just to get into kitchen for food. My knee pain gets better when I workout regularly. But I am always piled up with work and plus these layoffs looming over am not sure how to balance my life anymore.

During COVID, I battled obesity with a BMI of 28-29, causing health concerns by my mid-20s. Guided by inner motivation and health experts, I turned to running, achieving a BMI of 20.5. Now running 7-8 kilometers daily, with core exercises on Sundays, I've seen remarkable improvements in health, reflexes, joints, and core strength. My journey has inspired many, and I aim to motivate more to prioritize their health. Looking to get more exciting videos from you soon.

    1. Thank you Ranjit for putting this out. Thank you for taking the courage to share.
    2. I seem to be ignoring my health way too long, I am 30, and I will make a routine or habit to walk and jog in the morning. You definitely inspired me to bring more discipline in my efforts to improve my health.

As a 33 y/o i can tell you a lot you've mentioned is what I'm going through. I used to be a gym freak and was active. COVID has changed my life As i had a severe one, so I advised not to do what you were doing before COVID.
My work is not allowing me anything and i know "I'M LYING TO MYSELF". But I think it's time for me to proritise my health over anything else.
Glad to know about your journey and definitely you are inspiring not only from your work but your mindset. 👏

I am so demotivated due to COVID hindering my activities...I used to hit the gym everyday but now even my work timings are kind of hindering it all. Not taking any new year resolutions but we need to get on our foot now. Best of Luck brother. If you are in Hyderabad then may be we can start together too. I always hear "Health is Wealth" but I never did really care at all when I started working for a company at the age of 22 that I felt like I'm so powerful that I feel I can work 12hrs straight. I'm aware that I have a family history of heart disease and later on when I was near at my 30's I was diagnosed stage 2 hypertension. But luckily I found my new hobby just 2 years ago which is cycling and I would say it wasn't that hard when I started since I was kind of enjoying riding my bike 5 days a week, I could go places which I never been to before just using my bike and without knowing I slowly improved and recover. Right now my resting heart is sitting around 70-80 which is way better than before I started doing active routines.

Excellent video. Life is more important. I even took a 3 year sabbatical in my early 30s. Now I just work the bare minimum to survive. I work as a Respiratory Therapist and seen many, young and old, die or become permanently disabled. Enjoy every moment. I try to go to the gym 4 times a week and I also try to spend time in my backyard garden. Cutting carbs and fried items are also very important. Carbs/sugar is the killer.

Hi Ranjit, This video has changed my life in many good ways!
I first watched this video on 18th January 2024, and I realized true meaning of life and success.
Since then by making changes in my lifestyle and consistency in Morning walks, I have reduced my weight to 64 KGs (earlier 68.5 KG) and waistline to 34 inches (earlier 37 inches).
Thanks for letting know that success is not only measured by bank balance, its a mix of many factors.
