danny has caught the swagger of the west. he is a confident cowboy and maybe that is why i believe he has written the best western/country western song i have ever heard . reminds me in a way of dean martin and rick nelson singing '' my rifle ,pony ,and me'' in the film rio bravo.danny 's song is that sort of greatness, which is off the charts
peter called him 'ragtime cowboy joe'. from jimmy rogers to johnny cash ,gram parsons to waylon, willie, and merle, the byrds ,moby grape , buffalo springfield, chet, and elvis, and charlie pride, and roy rogers, and songs of a thousand cowboys , danny learned well, and here he offers a nice homage to rick nelson, one that rick( or anybody ) would be proud of. country and country rock music lost a supergiant ,as did many other genres
Agreed with all the comments here. I have this great Danny K album (vinyl of course, where the hell can I get a CD?). Still, Sunny Side of Heaven is my favorite tune by danny. I'd join you two in giving Danny a visit.
