I've had great luck with the Stay Naked foundation. I'm 52 and oily all over (eyelids are even oily). Although not as humid as other places, I do live in a hot and humid location....went to zoo in 85 degree weather and 65% humidity for five hours and Stay Naked looked great, despite standing under water misters twice, all day long. Stay Naked outperforms every other foundation I have. I have light/medium, neutral/olive skintone. I'm shade 51NN in Stay Naked. I also have Dior Backstage shade 4WO, Estee Lauder Double Wear shade 3N2, Smashbox Studio Skin shade 2.22, BareMinerals BarePro shade 18 Pecan, Becca Skin Love shade Driftwood and Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte shade Natural Beige. Stay Naked, on my skin, stays on best of those mentioned. I use a mattifying SPF, Hourglass Veil Primer and Cover FX Setting Powder. I bought the UD brush sold with the foundation and, in my experience, it does a good job applying without streaking.
Bless you for including our humidity as a factor in choosing a foundation! I live in Baton Rouge and always think that wearing a foundation here in August on my combo/ oily skin is the true test!
I love your foundation road tests! Even though I don’t have the same skin type as you, I am in my mid 40’s and find your detailed honest reviews really informative and helpful - thank you so much! Another idea that I have seen recently on other channels, is where you get your whole make up done at a beauty counter, like Charlotte Tilbury, and the review how you felt the experience was and how their application differed to how you usually apply your makeup. You could include how well it lasted and how it looked/felt on your skin. I would be really interested to see how you get on and feel about doing this. Thank you again for all your videos 😁
I got this in 40 WY and it’s a little light for me now. I have to mix in 50 WY. I love this foundation. It controls my oils better than any other foundation I have. I live in south Texas so we are in the same climate. I am also in my mid 40’s and have oily combo skin. It has become my favorite! Just goes to show that foundations work different on everyone...even people with the same skin type. Thanks for the review!!

You are definitely correct about the shades being much lighter. I wear fairly light in bare minerals and I wear a 30NN in the stay naked. Not sure if that helps anyone when they are deciding what to buy

I’m so glad I found this video!! Urban Decay Naked skin is my all time favorite foundation!. When they discontinued it, I bought 5 bottles of it. I have not had any luck finding a replacement. TOTALLY agree with the shade matching!!! And the concealer with the same shade name is waaaaaay lighter than the foundation.

I'm a "British rose," I have fair pinky skin and I 100% agree with what you said on the shades for this foundation! As well as being a great light foundation, the Naked Skin shades were so easy and it was one of the only foundations where they have a pale enough shade with the right undertones to not look yellow or white (shade 1.5)... I've tried three of the shades in the Stay Naked foundation from the 'very fair' and the 'fair' section with help from multiple UD counter girls who found the shades difficult. IMO, they're either ghostly white or the undertone is so dramatic it looks "off." Maybe urban decay will catch on and bring back Naked Skin. *crosses fingers*
Thanks Stephanie. I find it more confusing to choose foundation colors. I fully support brands offering multiple shades to accommodate consumers but I always hope they don't take away from the quality of the product to keep cost down.🌞

Thank you for putting me on to Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation and letting us know that it is going away. I no longer see it on Ulta’s website but bought my shade at Urban Decay’s site. It’s like beauty brands don’t watch TH-cam videos or read customer reviews. Makes zero sense that they are “fixing” a product that is not broken. You and Risa are two of my favorite TH-camrs! Keep up the awesome work!! 💕

I have the new UD foundation and the UD naked skin. I TOTALLY AGREE! These are NOTHING alike. The naked skin is so much better! The new one doesn’t control oil and also settles in fine lines. I’m so sad they are discontinuing the naked skin foundation!

We have the same taste in foundations and I ordered the KGD foundation just by your recommendation and I love it. I live in Israel and we don't have all brands and the ones we do, don't have the entire line. Can't wait for the Chalotte Tilbury review.

It stinks when you find a foundation that you love, they discontinue it, and the replace it with an inferior product. I'll never understand their logic behind it.
The concealer would be a no for me, since I have extremely dry under eyes.
I'm currently using and so far loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation. But it took several tries to find the correct shade.

I chatted with an UD rep and she confirmed it’s being discontinued. 😭 Why?! Naked Skin was my HG thanks to your rec and Stay Naked isn’t bad per se but it’s definitely not a lateral swap. I don’t see any reason why they should have discontinued the original. I’m bummed but I hate buying backups so I think I’m just going to deal with it and maybe sample some new foundations instead 😓
The way I remember it is that a lot of ppl found NS way too drying and cakey. I have never used it bc of what I had heard about it. I did try the NS concealer which was hyped initially on YT but even though I thought it did a good job at concealing it was super dry on my crepey undereye area. 🤷🏻♀️
I recently bouts the new version of the concealer. What a disappointment! Makes my under eye area dry. I’m going to miss a lot the old one.
I’m SO SAD about them discontinuing one of the best most unique foundations I’ve ever tried - I feel like companies are trying to outdo themselves and it’s backfiring in a way - why make a new one with alcohol?? I’m all for improving products with better technology but come on, this one stinks!! Can you do the new Estée Lauder Radiant concealer? I’m excited for that one. 4 times for a dry day - I feel you - it’s not unheard of to take me 2 times, after having to layer and layer to cover dark circles.

Kim Forbes no - let me rephrase that - NO. I’ve heard people say Wet n Wild Photo Focus is similar but I’ve tried it and it’s heavier, smells terrible and doesn’t compare. Stephanie said Dior Backstage Face and Body is similar but I haven’t tried it - I think it has alcohol and I can be dry depending on the time of year and the alcohol turned me off - it’s the 3rd ingredient. Urban Decay should have kept it for combo dry skin because the new one is more for oily skin, but I haven’t tried it either. Honestly Estée Lauder Doublewear Light, that was also discontinued, was similar in that it was thin but covered. Stephanie loved those 2 foundations too. I want to use my bottle up - don’t want it to go rancid, but I’m going to not be happy - I definitely need something that doesn’t slide off in the summer when I’m oilier and wear more hydrating in the winter (Bobbi Brown Serum foundation is great when you’re dehydrated and everything looks matte, but it doesn’t stay on as long in the summer - I’m still trying to figure out what primers work with what foundations - I think maybe they’re pilling over my sunscreen and it’s annoying. I know water and oil don’t mix but even a tiny bit of silicone seems to ball up.

I’m so glad I watched this review. I loved the Naked Skin Foundation as well and was looking forward to this release. I went into Ulta yesterday to get matched and the sales associate said that they were originally matching people with the instructions per UD and every single one came back. I ended up with 40WO but if I matched online I would have picked 30NN. I started to doubt the sales associate until I saw your video. I’m disappointed in the ingredients as well, I like this foundation but it’s definitely not as good as Naked Skin.

I also live about 15 miles south of Lafayette, Louisiana and the heat and humidity have been ridiculous. I am also in my mid 40s, with very dry skin, and this clung to every dry patch.

I've seen good and bad reviews of this foundation BUT I'm not going to chance it. Here in the UK we can't return opened products. So, if I don't like it I've wasted a decent amount of money.

Like other commenters, I too called UD and they confirmed Naked is discontinued. I think they sourced something in it and can no longer get it. I wear 3.5 in Naked. My CSA put me on hold for a extended period of time for a shade match. When she returned she was apologizing...there is nothing CLOSE to 3.5. What? Of course there has to be. She said everything is too warm or too light. I brought home testers of 30 and 40 cp and 41NN and a few others. There is no color match like you would have to chemistry lab it. I still wear tested and It left me texture-ry. And didn't have the longevity or skin like finish Naked had. Really bummed. Angie got me hooked on Chanel Perfection Luminere and it preformed better for me than my old Naked. Guess what they discontinued that one! (reformulation may offer a contender but who knows.) Per Angie's advice I am now testing Estee Lauder's Double Wear. If you haven't yet, do try it. I think it is topping my old Naked and the Chanel! I am in 3C1 if that helps anyone figure out shade range. : ) Oh, and Wayne Goss just found his HG concealer in Estees Double Wear!
Yes I'm sad to about the naked skin foundation, it was one of my favorite foundations, I have about half of it left in my bottle
I'm with you all the way! I've used the Naked Skin for 5 years - it's my one and only (I bought 3 backups). I feel like my skin looks better now than it did five years ago before I started wearing this and I really think it's because the ingredients are so good. I'm forty and very picky about ingredients and finishes. I knew the "replacement" was high in alcohol so I was already skeptical but everything from the color match to the finish is just off. So now I am scrambling for a new foundation. Really struggling to find something with good ingredients and such a perfect, long lasting finish. I want to try the new ABH and the new Charlotte Tillburry when it comes out. Like you said, I really hope they rethink discontinuing the naked skin. I think they should have replaced the all nighter foundation with this because to me they are similar, and I never liked the all nighter foundation (too thick). I'm so disappointed. Let us know if you ever find a dupe (especially with good ingredients). I have high hopes for CT because I know she says foundation should have good ingredients.

I was so disappointed when I started not being able to find Naked Skin, I knew they were going to discontinue it .It was my favorite foundation. I like the new one but not near as much. I don't know why they would discontinue a popular foundation???

Sephora matched me to a REALLY light shade for the new hydrating Fenty foundation. I bought it cuz I trusted their decision, I even went in with a bare face so it would be easier for them to find the right shade. Came home, used it and OMG... I couldn’t stop laughing, lol! I’m Asian and considered dark in my community, how am I shade 230 which is described as light to medium with neutral undertones? Lol!

This reminds me of Estee Lauder double wear light. The original was 100 times better, but sadly, they discontinued it for a much lower quality version IMO. 😭 I also tried the stay naked and the concealer and disliked them both.

I never tried the original but got a sample of the new one & I'm shocked it might be the one for me. I've tried 20+ foundations this year and they've all been disappointing - I'm extremely oily and every foundation breaks down in less than 2 hours on me... Except this one. Definitely not a foundation for normal/dry skin.
This foundation holds up pretty well for me. Better at keeping my oil at bay than dior backstage. I had trouble finding a match for the one the are discontinuing. 😢
I have the newer UC foundation, i just swatched until i found a colour i liked. Sometimes its a little drying ( the alcohol) , but i have sweaty skin and it lasts well, but i need to blot and repowder. It only works for lightish coverage i think which suits me. I alternate my foundations due to irratic skin.

Of course! Will do! I also got the butter bronzer and original creamy luminous bronzer, and a blush. It might be a stretch, but I couldn’t resist it any longer. With the cooler months on the horizon along with the power packed ingredients, my skin might just welcome a gentler, more natural approach. I have noticed, the less I mess with it and keep my regime simple, the happier it is.🙏🏼🤞🏼
Naked Skin (original) is one of the best foundations I've ever used. So disappointed it's going away.

Smashbox has a new foundation, that one I would like to see a wear test done. The UD NS didn't work for me, I'm so surprised when people with oily skin can wear it bc it just melted and faded within 4 hours.

Yeah...me too, I am SO sad that the Naked Foundation is going away! Tried the Stay Naked 4 times and still can’t get shade right. UD needs to hit the brakes and start over!

I'm not sure offhand? Wasn't it thin but covered well? Maybe Armani Power Fabric? I love it b/c it's thin and hydrating and covers well. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for?

Sooo sad this is discontinued! This was my holt grail foundation! I wish I would’ve known it was being discontinued otherwise I would’ve grabbed another one. 😭
It is such a disappointment to learn they discontinued the original. Hate the new one. Color match is hard but I can deal with that, but the alcohol makes it TERRIBLE. I have dry skin and live in Phoenix AZ so hot and at this time of year a bit humid compared to our normal. I felt like I had a clay mask on from first thing in the morning till I took it off that night, and it got tighter throughout the day! Stocked up from UD website on the original and will be set for a while then will hunt for a new foundation.
I ordered the foundation and concealer in 40 NY. The concealer matched my skin fine but I didn’t open the foundation and sent it back due to the alcohol content. I kept the concealer but can’t use it under my eyes because it’s too thick. I kept it for concealing on my face but it’s not my favorite concealer.
I loved the old formula and the new one seperated after like 2 hours. Sadness:(
Don’t you just hate it when something gets discontinued and it worked so well for you? I doubt it would work for me in humid, hot NC either!
I was so disappointed with this foundation.... and even more disappointed the original naked is being discontinued. This was way to drying for me, gave me dry patches after daily wear for a week, and I have skin that leans oily. I just don’t like the finish at all
Curious if you would try the Dollar General brand Foundation and Concealer. I’ve heard some rave reviews on it. It’s called Believe beauty and everything in the line is around $5.

I got a sample. I hated it. I have dry sensitive skin. It was so drying. Miss the old one. The old concealer was my favorite.
What retinol eye cream are you using?
I’m so disappointed that they discontinued the naked skin and came out with something not as good. Naked skin was my go to everyday and I never used anything else. I’m so mad!!!!
I have really been trying to like the stay naked foundation. It just doesn’t work for me. It looks so patchy after a couple of hours. I can’t make it work. I do like the concealer, though.

So true Claudia! I reach for my on the run daily! : ) Lippy and mascara all gone, but the pay out in the color are great and generous, haven't yet hit pan! I agree love it!

I hate excess weight in travel so light plastic versus heavy glass is better. I was sad to see Naked Skin Weightless disappear. Alcohol??? Not an improvement. Hard pass. My Retin A is a priority and my IT Bye Bye Under Eyes concealer is my HG.
