The R3X is so cool man, it looks like a fun car! Would love to see a test drive through a canyon road or maybe even on the track, when it comes out. Definitely get a daily driver that still puts a little smile on your face. If you're planning to go off roading sometimes and want the space get the R1 otherwise I'd say R2
im a fan of Rivian. they seem to understand how to do EVs and what people want. hope they're able to get these new models to market and see some growth!
Lease R1 now, reserve R2. Then, when the time comes, decide if you want to keep the R1 or move on to R2 or change your reservation to R3 (when reservations are open). Been driving my gen 1 R1T since last summer. Love it.
I also looking at a R1S, Porsche Cayenne S, Acura MDX, and a Genesis G90..... the last one is a sedan but I really like the vehicle just not its dealer experience when servicing those vehicles... may just need a mobile Mechanic that is expert on all or one for each vehicle that has the flashing software if needed and any servicing needed they come to my home... Now I can possible work on all the ICE vehicles... thankfully the Porsche is not that hard to work on and the Acura is more so less complex than the Genesis or Porsche that would be the vehicle I would feel more comfortable daily driving because I believe it to be the more reliable out of all of the ICE vehicles... the R1S is my Electric vehicle and it being a SUV is just a plus... I was thinking Lucid Air but now I would rather have a SUV with about the same range as the Lucid and I knew I didn't want a GM product with their electrical problems and sorry dealer experience....so if I go EV I need a company that would more than likely give attention to my vehicle and this is why I looked at Lucid and then Rivian.... They seem more invested in making sure they get repeat customers...LOL
Those R2 and R3 models are very interesting. I wish they would have manual air vent adjustment instead of through the screen though. Hopefully they can get these to market sooner than announced!
Amazing! The R2 and R3 will really appeal to buyers. I really hope this company makes it and it will be interesting to see where they stand 3-4 years from now. That Quad motor R1 is a beast! I see that the top speed is raised on the quad motor, what about the tri-motor? And will all season tires be available for those of us in the snow belt? Street performance tires are not going to cut it in the cold, snowy, northeast. Also, will heat pumps come with all new Rivian models?
Oh man I just thought of something the big glass on the roof of the r2 imagine it raining and you can lay back and look at the rain that is too awesome 👍😎
I'm OK with no CarPlay but Waze is what I miss. I have a deposit on the R2 and if it comes with ventilated seats, 360° camera, something comparable to Waze, over 300 miles of range and some flavor of autonomous driving, it will turn into full order.
I really want to wait for an R2 in Europe, but my current car is getting old. Tough one. 2027. Ouch. Really hope Rivian make it financially. Will buy back my $RIVN shares too if it becomes clear that they can scale R2 at a profit. Feels a long way off
Almost bought a rivian R1s problem with them is the towing range! If you own a camp trailer or boat you won’t go far and it’ll take a million years to get to your destination!
Uh, unless you plan on waiting... quite a bit... they only sell the R1's and are in a transition of them right now so availability is rough. So buy an R1 and wait, or pre order and R2 (R3 not even available as a pre order) and wait even longer. Kinda how the world is today , especially in EV's. Make a big announcement, promise, take money on deposit and wait years and hope they actually build it.
There are not 3 Rivians you can buy. There are the R1S and R1T. I REALLY hope that some day we can buy an R2, and that the production ramp goes well so that they can survive until the R3. Love these vehicles, but don’t get too excited about the concept cars of a startup
Rivian's R2/R3 gameplan is preposterous. The R2 is tentatively planned for Jun '26. For Rivian, this could really mean Jun '36. Rivian is tracking to declare bankruptcy sometime in '25. By selling the R1S for $90k, Rivian is losing $1.5 bill/qtr. By selling the slightly smaller R2 for $45k, Rivian's losses will probably double. In the meantime, good luck trying to find buyers of the R1S for $90k; when similar vehicle is coming out for $45k. In summary, very unlikely Rivian will ever sell even one R2. Very likely Rivian enters bankruptcy in '25 at the latest
Put your money where your mouth is and buy some shorts. In reality the cost of goods on the R2 is much less, they are not comparable. And in reality you’ll be able to get an R2 for 70k+ if you want a bigger battery and tri motor with some features. Smaller battery, coil suspension, etc it’s a cheaper to make car
That R3-X is where it’s at.
Absolutely. Just have to wait a few years 🥲
@@EddieX that’s the bad part 😭
depending on the options that release on the r2 im stuck between the r2 and r3x, just have to wait and see

Love the Rivian R1 (and future projects look good 2) you cant go wrong imo.
Rivian’s design team is killing it. And 1000HP is bunkers. Imagine an R3X with 1000HP 🤣😂
R3-X with 1000hp is a bad idea. But 665hp & 829lb/ft would be a wild awesome ride.

r1s is very family oriented and yet powerful. Would like to get a r3x for my kid once available, hopefully they are still alive till then
I wan the R3X! To be honest, if I ended up with an R3 I would still be as happy and giddy! I love them man and wish Rivian amazing success!

Yes, cool changes. But I would give most of them up for a focus on increasing range and reducing cost.
I'm waiting for the R2!! Perfect size and coming with native nacs!
Literally about to start working at this exact location. Thats wild.
R3 is WOW! 🔥 They should have started with it ahead of R2.
R1S tri-motor - ordered it on 8/18. Can't Wait!
TM-R2 glad it’s getting the dynamic roof, I’m sold
I love their vehicles, just hope they don't go bankrupt smh
I think with these new more affordable smaller options plus the new VW partnership and cash they should hopefully do well!
Kind of wild they put the charging port on the wrong side for NAC. It'll take two spots if they keep that way.
I wish Rivian would make the glass roof an option. I’d actually prefer a normal roof.
Eddie you should buy ME a rivian. I don’t care if it’s a toy model either lmao
With my finances I might be only getting MYSELF a toy rivian 😂
I'm OK with no CarPlay but Waze is what I miss.

PS: I wonder how much those metal rings in the seats on the 3 will burn your back in the summer.
No car play. No thanks. Manufactures can not get it better. No matter if they believe they can

I prefer Rivian R3 because it's a rivian, crossover suv and an EV. What more can you want
Almost bought a rivian R1s problem with them is the towing range! If you own a camp trailer or boat you won’t go far and it’ll take a million years to get to your destination!
They need to make an off road version of those wheels to fit the tires... I would get that version because it would fit the rugged image... LOL

The R3x tailights are on the tailgate. Is that against regulation? what I’ve heard that there has to be on the body that doesn’t move
will all 3 new models have the electrochromic roof?
LFP pouch cell? Looks like a prismatic one
Where do I sign lol! I love this car!
I would love to see that smaller and a hatchback for 25k and I’d be in. For my dogs
How does the Irving company treat or handle salvation with 7 or 2 me driving with no problems
is that fjord green paint on th r3x
Get the Gen2 R1S!
R3 r2 and r1 are going to sell like hotcakes
TL;DR - Eddie picks a Kia EV6
🤣🤣🤣 I mean I did enjoy the EV6 GT haha
@@EddieX I'm a big fan of your channel. Keep up the great and authentic work
Did you add Apple car play?? No? No sale!!
👀 get the Rivian..... Tesla Model X????😂
I’ve never wanted a car that looked like a computer mouse 😭
@@EddieX so get one that looks like a keyboard😖..... Jk👀😅
All is well but the R2 changing station needs to move to the other end. RJ RJ RJ needs to listen to public. 😊
If they wanted to make money, all it would take is start making r2, they will fly off the shelf.
Buy R2 D2
What about C3PO
R2 on order and awaiting 2026 😊
That thing is so homely though. 😆
there ain't three. there is only two right now; r1s & r1t
all the above
Tesla is nowhere near better-looking than these vehicles

All that time and you didn't really ask any insightful questions. Spend a little more time prepping so you have more interesting content.
Hummer EV
Just a bit too big lol
