I love Queen Anne homes! They are classic, traditional and have lasted through time. It just shows you how well craftsmanship was then compared to now, the homes they build today are falling apart after 10 years.
Gorgeous house! I am not a fan of open floor plans so it's refreshing to see doors which open up to separate rooms. My vote is for opening up the wrap around porch. You are very fortunate that the beveled glass and art glass windows are all still intact. The vintage ice box, once cleaned, may be worth a lot of money to a collector if you end up selling it. The outside space is a gardener's dream. I'm a new subscriber and look forward to watching the personal touches you add to the interior home and yard.
I have almost house envy. Love that it wasn't gutted and you have so much of the original woodwork and flooring. Oh and the windows! I have what's called a Folk Victorian that was butchered in so many ways. I've bring back what I can as time and money permits.
I live in Fl. where the land is flat and the houses are stucco squares. What a fabulous house and property, I like the view from the back of the property too, it looks old timey and clean.
Love ,love this house! So beautiful on the inside , a lot of woodworking, I love the wood but,is hard to keep dusted. I know my home has a lot of woodwork also. Your wife is going to need a cleaning woman 😅👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👋
How great is this housr!! The flooring, woodwork and glass are amazing. I enjoyed your walk-thru. Good luck with everything. Take your time and do it right!
That house is downright GORGEOUS! Never saw a wall like that going up the stairs. At least they didn't paint the woodwork. Were the cabinets in the basement once in the kitchen? I'd refinish or clean up that old radio just as a decorating item. My grandparents had one when I was a child. Good sized basement. The only thing thing I can see can that would this house more PERFECT would be to have it sitting on 80 acres! LOL! congratulations!
She is gorgeous!!!The woodwork is amazing. I think I heard something a out the dirt fog poor in the basement had something to do with controlling humidity in those older homes.
It's amazing! You could make an ensuite bedroom where your wife's office is going to be, for when you get older and don't want to go up the stairs. I hope you don’t cover the wood with paint 😊
Not my style of house, BUT it is really lovely! Someone did a lot of work before you purchased. You have much to do. Subscribed to watch your journey. 🤗
What a lovely home! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Be very glad your wife is kind. I *might* have been tempted to jump out at you when you were filming your basement, lol!
The sink has a little damage, and I don't think I'll use it in the kitchen, but we definitely plan on keeping it and getting it up and running again :)
We have a Queen Anne Victorian with a porch like yours but it's NOT enclosed. If I could change one thing about our house, I would get an enclosed porch because you can't enjoy it outside with all the mosquitoes. I live in Wisconsin.
Really enjoyed your video tour. It appears you have a lot of work to do on your house in the future. How do you feel about that? Will you hire contractors or are you handy around the house?
But the majority of it is wood! Brick built houses are better, if they are built properly and with top grade materials they will last a lot longer than the wood ones.
Now that’s when they made houses instead of the crappy houses they make nowadays.
Definitely !

That icebox is a treasure! I've never seen one intact in a Victorian house before. Love your humor also😁

I have house envy. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the original features of your new home.
Beautiful house. I love the stained glass and the wood work throughout the house also the flooring in the bathroom.
What a find!!
Greetings from Fairfield Iowa! Our 1896 Queen has a lot of similar features. Congrats on your new home
Thank the lord that they did not paint the beautiful wood trim through out the house.
Beautiful details...wood floors, beveled glass, lots of windows... would love to own a victorian home ❤
What a beautiful house! The woodwork & floors are absolutely gorgeous! My husband & I were wondering where it is located?
Absolutely stunning!!
Absolutely Stunning May the Good Lord Bless and keep you and your beautiful home.
Great video 📹
So well preserved! Complete with a horror movie basement. What more could you ask for? Please post updates. Great commentary.
Omg that woodwork! So lucky to have that 💓
Love ,love this house! So beautiful on the inside , a lot of woodworking, I love the wood but,is hard to keep dusted. I know my home has a lot of woodwork also. Your wife is going to need a cleaning woman 😅👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👋
Love the house, looks like it’s in good shape. Congratulations!
I cannot imagine taking all that on. So much to clear out and clean, repair, replace. I’m tired already. But, I am cheering you on!
The basement could be where the kids/grandkids hang, put a WE box down there and a mini fridge... Well, you know where they are. :) m
Congratulations Robert. Cool house.

Lovely property. Hope got a good deal. You have a great deal of work to do. Looking forward to see what you do.
Hi, neighbors! Up here in NE Iowa in an 1898 Victorian!
She is gorgeous!!!The woodwork is amazing. I think I heard something a out the dirt fog poor in the basement had something to do with controlling humidity in those older homes.
That basement is perfect for a root cellar, pantry for food storage such as canning, etc and I don't drink but a wine cellar comes to mind, lol.
Wood work and floors are stunning ...❤ windows ❤❤..why will those beautiful rooms be offices? Love it..
Greetings from Germany. All the best in the new house, I hope I can watch many more videos. Good luck and see you soon Greetings Maria
Beautiful home

I love it! My vote is your office on the 2nd floor! In case you're taking a survey. Happy for you and yours Bartz! 💙
Thanks Zubrod! I don't think I can go wrong with whatever room I choose 😁 It will be your turn for a home walkthrough video next!

Lots of very cool things going on in this house
Please keep making videos as you move in and make it your home. I just subbed.
What a lovely home! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Be very glad your wife is kind. I *might* have been tempted to jump out at you when you were filming your basement, lol!
That beautiful sink in your basement ❤️ Hope you plan on using her😊

I wonder why the basement was built with separate rooms.
The basement looks like the place where Norman Bates put his mother.
Really enjoyed your video tour. It appears you have a lot of work to do on your house in the future. How do you feel about that? Will you hire contractors or are you handy around the house?
Will be a combination. I'll do what I can, but I'll have to contract out things that are out of my depth :)
Any updates on house?
No servants' stairs? m
Is it haunted?
Not that we've seen yet!
