Investing in research is the cornerstone for any country to develop. The government as a matter of urgency must increase budgetary allocation to all our universities and technical institutions. Development Banks should also partner with universities to fund viable research projects from universities that can lead to production and employment creation. Well done Makerere University.
Makerere University has always been in the lead. Imagine what would happen to our economy were every single university in Uganda to be as innovative as Makerere. The initiative begins in our secondary schools, by making sure that each one of them has a science laboratory, science teachers and a plan for pupils to experience science. It will not be cheap but quite an expensive endeavour. This investment, however, will be the foundation, for Uganda to advance in science and technology for generations to come. Well done.
But which makerere university are u talking about? I have been at makerere for 4 years in mechanical engineering but we as students we have never been involved in such projects why???
its true but at which level we as third world country cant just jump to another level before learning the first we are still awakening and growing ejjanzi telibuuka na nzige mukama wange

More money should be injected in research
They would have made such engines and other machine long time ago
Is he trying to explain how to make an engine?
Science is future. Artificial intelligence is taking over
Artificial intelligence is the fourth industrial revolution. Africa has not even mastered the first. We do not produce steel from scratch...
its true but at which level we as third world country cant just jump to another level before learning the first we are still awakening and growing ejjanzi telibuuka na nzige mukama wange
Wake me up when every part of the engine is locally made. I mean everything then I will believe we are going somewhere. Nice try though...
Brother even the US imports steel vital for the motor industry. We're living in an interconnected world
You will need to come to makerere...cedat ecvrything is locally made here in uganda
Again shez here with her gender rings instead of promising hand cup from the gvt emitwe
