Agree, great job! Tiles look wonderful! I didn't get why the Mars board is not painted as mars instead of the base orange color, which I find dull. And how do you mark your forests? I can't see the places designated for placing player cubes :( Apart from these two, the result (and the process) looks great! I even learnt something new
I am a bit shocked this video was not yet honoured by the youtube algorithm. The content and the editing are great, absolutely quality footage. Keep it up, a few more videos like this and the channel's gonna grow big :)
Maybe one day! I'm almost done with the next one, I'm pretty happy about how it's turning it and today I found a 15th century church where I am gonna try and get permission to film the reveal of the project on the altar! To give the "medieval" boardgame video I'm working on a fitting reveal!
@@Redskies453 Yeah, I would've uploaded sooner, but then my gf was in an accident, and she helps a lot with filming as well, and then a lot of stuff at work got me really frustrated, so motivation was lacking and gf had to get better first!
Woah this looks amazing. The water details on greenary tiles, oceans with translucent resin and many more. More amazing than those is how you put so much effort to create them. Great job, great energy >
I'm not fan of plastik elements in board games (I prefer wooden elements) but the amount of details and work You have put in this project is just outstanding. Very impressive results. I envy You playing this version of TM, I really do. :-)
It's even more fun if you add some metal disks in the bottom to make them weighted, then they feel as heavy as wood! But I get ya. Wood is awesome. I hope to learn a bit of woodworking to add it in my projects one day!
I'm currently working on a board, biggest project yet, But I've ruined it and now I need to find a way to fix my mistake ... OR upload a video, I made a 3D board for .... game and ruined it... But i'm not sure that's a good idea.
I want to do this for every board game I buy, before I start playing it, but that's a bit too ambitious 😅 Stick around cause the next video will hopefully be ready in 1-2 weeks!
@@MarkusManon I had 100 subscribers a week ago i believe! The video seems to be picking up and I'm gonna be ready with the next one in about 2-3 weeks top! Hope you stick around to watch that one too! 😄 Thanks for the love!
This is incredible! Thank you for walking us through such an huge project. This is one of my favorite games of all time, and as an artist it was such a pleasure to watch it come to life in your hands.
That's so nice to hear! I've been struggling getting the next project finished, a lot going on and I've been lacking the motivation to continue but comments like this really make my day and motivate me to continue!

Outstanding!!! I’ve had issues sanding PLA - but I never thought to wet sand it…. I’m going to try that next time. And I love your setup so much that it’s giving me all sorts of ideas for my own space. This is fab :)
Thanks! I Appreciate the kind words and I'm happy that I've inspired you! Wet sanding makes a huge difference, and use sanding sponges, it made a huge difference in speeding things up for me.
Im curious how to easily remove the ocean tiles when they're just flat? Great work, I dream to play TM with contents as epic as this. Thank you very much for sharing.
@@TheCraftingDen Already did! :D You checked all the boxes for me as an creator! Also this video resonated with me deeply because I've got a FDM and SLA printer and I adore Terraforming Mars! Such a great game. In my first game me my brothers and a friend played together and we all ended with points sitting on 117 except for one player which got 116. We were pretty mind blown.
@@trygvij1604 I know right?! You never really know who's winning, and then when you THINK you know, the end score is very often super close! That's the fun thing about this game, so many things to do to get points, and somehow it always ends up really close!
OMG - this is AMAZING what you've done. I love the end result SO much.. wonderful job! I wish board games were always made with such level of detail, and I'd be willing to pay that much more for them! Water tiles ARE amazing, but so is all the rest. I missed if you put in magnets in the "base" or "main" board?
In the 4 pieces of board, there are magnets to keep the 4 pieces together! The tiles themselves, fit snuggly into the hexagon openings of the board so no need for magnets! Thank you for the super kind words, it's really motivating to hear someone talk so nicely of my work! Thank you!
Thank you! I'm trying to step up my game in the next video, but it's taking a while, i want to incorporate a cinematic intro with medieval cosplay, if I can make it look professional. If it looks amateuristic I won't add it in I think 😅
Love your content! Would be smart of you to make some in-the-middle-videos showing the process or any side project to prep the main one + room tour and equipment you bought, type of paints etc. Keep up!
Yeah I think I need to do that just to get some more consistent uploads done, but I’m not sure if ppl are interested in that so maybe they’ll see it be uploaded, not be as good as a full video and then just stop watching when eventually the big project arrives?
@@TheCraftingDen I think you should study the bigger channels to know better what to expect I think. But what people like, as I understood it, is to learn and watch quality content. Some bigger channels I follow have a good flow of projects (once a month minimum) and if not they publish some tutorials to learn the basics of their art/give insight on technical stuff/do challenges on the best x color from different brands for example/room tour/vlog of some workshop or event ecc. In the end people watching art channels do like to make art and to expand their knowledge about it. Also the algorithm check for the most consistent channels who put regularly videos up, some people report so. ;) Hope it helps!
