120Hz screens weren't all that mainstream before last year in 2019. Apple starts designing the new iPhones a year or so before they're launched is what I've heard.

As an android user, the phone looks really good. Other android users need to stop hating on apple for every little thing. The photos using the camera have a noticeable higher quality. And the price point is actually cheaper than the Galaxy note 20 Ultra 5g. (Apple: $1099.99, and Samsung: $1299.99.) People have to stop being biased for mega-corporations.

Dude, comparing photos taken by the Mini and the Pro Max side by side was a good idea, but switching which side of the screen they were on was SUPER clever. Totally fooled me into thinking “oh yeah, that one is a little better” only to have the text for the Mini pop up, especially in the photos of the Mac Pro. Really illustrated the point that the differences are negligible. Nice work!

I'm still using my 2020 12 Pro Max as of November 2024. Still strong, great screen, great camera, lovely design, and still quick. The only problem is the battery. Battery life for nearly the entire day.
Unfortunately there never will be a USB-C iPhone. That’s what MagSafe is paving the way for, the iPhone will become port-less relying on wireless chargers and MagSafe.
I upgraded to the 12Pro Max from the XS Max, definitely the right move! I never just to the next new thing.....I usually wait it out a bit! Great review as always!
Did a battery swap last week with my 12 Pro Max 512 GB…it still is in mint condition with only some micro scratches around the lightning port. A perfect backup phone now 😊
I don’t think apple will ever go usb-c for the fact they make waaaayyyyy too much money off the Patent of the lighting connector. I believe Apple gets $5 per cable in the world. That’s $$$
@@PremKhunt MacBooks and iPads have many usb-c accessories and a lot of people have different devices for the MacBook Pro that use usb-c so it probably sells more to have it. But there is so many accessories for the iPhone and keeping them and also making you buy them sells more than being convenient.

@@LeeCookyperformance is still solid for me, doesnt feel slow or sluggish at all, but couldn’t say much about battery since my battery health is at 81% right now. However, with just a light use it still can last from 6am to 8pm for me with about 20% left. Though with outdoor usage you can expect that number to drop to just about a dissapointing 4hrs of SOT. Camera perfomance is still amazing for a 3 y.o smartphone.
both are good phones, and this is the one to get depending on what phone youre coming from, and this is NO this isnt a substantial upgrade. so all of them are right.
@Tim Evans Except that's not true though. MKBHD says so himself. Stop giving in to consumerism and needing the newest thing all the time. They work the same, they have similar battery life, they have similar CPUs and get the same new features. If you are getting a new phone from more than a few years ago, the 11 Pro is still good and will be cheaper (or you can buy a used one to keep it from going to a landfill).

It really a guy phone. I have no problem with the large screen. I really like that over the standard size as I’ve always used the pluses. My partner is very petite and yeah she struggles alittle with it but in time I say she would get use to the larger size
So there is a point of diminishing returns in smartphone photography as Marc Levoy brought up when working on the Pixel phones. Now Apple is the Gold Standard in photos and videos. Your move TeamPixel!

This is definitely one of the biggest phones released by Apple. I think it is pretty impressive especially in terms of the strong A14 bionic chipset and the powerful camera.
I currently have a 6s and am picking up my 12 pro max this week. My friend has this phone and it’s incredibly reliable, stable with outstanding support I’m just a regular user who seeks those benefits in a company. I really don’t care about all the geek stuff. It’s an outstanding product that’s reliable, consistent and predictable. I love all Apple products.

@@LeeCookyperformance is still solid for me, doesnt feel slow or sluggish at all, but couldn’t say much about battery since my battery health is at 81% right now. However, with just a light use it still can last from 6am to 8pm for me with about 20% left. Though with outdoor usage you can expect that number to drop to just about a dissapointing 4hrs of SOT. Camera perfomance is still amazing for a 3 y.o smartphone.
It's incredible how he's able to test all 4 models in a short period of time and still bring us this amazing reviews!

@Tim Evans Except that's not true though. MKBHD says so himself. Stop giving in to consumerism and needing the newest thing all the time. They work the same, they have similar battery life, they have similar CPUs and get the same new features. If you are getting a new phone from more than a few years ago, the 11 Pro is still good and will be cheaper (or you can buy a used one to keep it from going to a landfill).
compared to every other camera test/comparison I've seen today it didn't really feel like Marques tried. This review felt a little cynical & i usually feel he's right on point.

It really a guy phone. I have no problem with the large screen. I really like that over the standard size as I’ve always used the pluses. My partner is very petite and yeah she struggles alittle with it but in time I say she would get use to the larger size
meanwhile I can't even reach across the screen on the smaller ones

This is definitely one of the biggest phones released by Apple. I think it is pretty impressive especially in terms of the strong A14 bionic chipset and the powerful camera.

Wouldn’t recommend it. There’s an issue with bootlooping on some of them, and it cannot be fixed without replacing a soldered chip.
I wouldn’t recommend the 7 either, 4yo though, maybe the 8.

I really don’t care about all the geek stuff. It’s an outstanding product that’s reliable, consistent and predictable. I love all Apple products.
