Hey man great video, while I heard you talking about transmissions at the end, my tmaxx 3.3 has had this issue where it shifts way too early and it just kinda sounds silly and feels slower, I’ve been trying to adjust the shift point screw in the transmission but I just couldn’t get a handle on it or something like that. Today I finally just ripped the tranny out and took it apart to where I can finally access the screw, do you know of a good starting point where I can get the truck to really pronounce that first gear? Like how many turns out etc. thanks man
@RaggedEdgeRC I'm honestly no expert in this field, but I would turn it clockwise 1/4 turn. Also, you will be able to access the screw through an access hole on the transmission. Try that and report back. Make sure your tune is on point as well. Good luck!
@@Dre357 after doing some digging I found it’s totally different than say what it may be for the carb settings, I found a couple guys saying 7 turns out from closed is the factory settings for the shift point. They also said be sure not to unscrew it all the way cause that could mess up the entire transmission as well. I too am not an expert with these transmissions so I’ll get back to you my friend! Thanks
@@Dre357hey Dre, I tried that setting of 7 turns out and found that to be way too far out, as the car was actually stuck in 2nd. Started working it back in and it’s starting to shift well again! Probably around 6-6.5 turns out from closed.
I haven’t fond any good ways to reinforce my point of contention but the statement that you are running for the fastest time on your first run is laughable
Nice tune! Sounds clean yet somewhat rich
@@CamandThings thanks
