Great battle rep!! One question, can the trees be arranged covering completely around an objective? I think that would be cool and a big help on controlling objective if it works. The trees survived a lot better than I was expecting. When I first read the new rules and seen the delay in Strike and Fade to end of turn it felt like a game ender for the faction.
One problem can be if the trees are not in the best position to start the opp might just leave them there since you cant get more. this was what dave was doing
Two of my favorite factions! This was fun to watch. I would love your thoughts on the Sylvaneth. They've changed quite a bit, so I think they warrant an in-depth discussion. The Belthanos tactic to just run up the board worked really well here, but I feel like the Sylvaneth warscrolls aren't strong enough to go toe-to-toe with most armies. And in saying that, I don't mean to take anything away from either of you. You guys both displayed great tactics here- I learned a lot!
Sylvaneth has some strong options right now. 6 scythe Kurnoth with 6 Bow Kurnoth is a great defensive build, dragonfly spam is good with run/charge, and Alarielle with Treelords could be super fun too! Feel free to share lists/discussions on our Discord channel!

"The Lady of Vines is required." Interested to hear more breakdown on this. 5+ just seems way to inconsistent to rely on defensively, even with the guaranteed place of power via Belthanos. Factoring in enemy unbinding, are you even getting this off 1/2 the time?
Lady of Vines seems like a much because she acts as a wyldwood, is a 2 cast wizard with a good warscroll spell, and a decent rampage. she brings alot to the table.

Also Turn 1 you subtract 1 from prayer Rolls in enemy Turn. You rolled a 2 -1 = 1 so you wouldnt have gotten any Ritual Points. Voting for sylvaneth btw 40:40 Shooting with LoV which Ran for 4 damage 🤭

Magical Intervention is hands down the biggest waste of Command points in this edition. Ive never seen a single person ACTUALLY successfully cast off it.
Agreed! Countercharge is also a huge trap with no rerolls. I would never use it unless the charging unit is under 7 inches away. It is more a psychological deterrent for your opponent haha
Shoot ability is one thing. Shoot keyword is a different thing. Gossamids sadly do not move after covering fire. Same reason why you can redeploy and cover fire. Cause cover fire is not limited by run, since its not a shooting ability. Its an ability of its own.
@@Pedrocas84 You're wrong for a number of reasons. Keywords denote what type of abilities something is. Any ability with the "Shoot" Keyword is considered a Shoot ability just like any ability with the "Move" keyword is considered a move ability. Covering Fire also has the Bow/Arrow icon which on the table in Page 198 of the rule book classifies it as a "Shooting" ability. And before you try to argue that "Shooting and Shoot" are different. 5.1 of the Core Rules states that for any ability Singular any Plural wording is considered synonymous for rules purposes.
The model is so good for how old it is. We will be happy to display this guy for years, until Sacrosanct get there monstrous re-work in 5th edition maybe? Thanks for watching our channel and taking time to comment!

Strike and fade only being able to be used while STILL in combat is absolutely stupid, pointless, and will forever baffle me. What a gutted ability.

I think a huge combo is kurnorth with branchwych. If the kurnorth get charged u can handle Out a 3+ ASF, so u have rent 2 DMG 3.
This combined with the rent spell and nothing will Charge the kurnorth😂 rent 3 DMG 3... Awesome

Shouldnt the treesong in turn 1 have succeeded? Even with a -1 to cast the roll was a 6 which is enough for treesong.

Basic addition and subtraction really messes with michael sometimes.

Gossamid Archers can't use Zephyrspites ability when using covering fire. Covering fire isn't the Shoot Ability.
Covering fire has the "Shoot" keyword ability though. So you did use a "Shoot" ability when you use it.
