I was going to dismiss this until you put a corvette on it. A couple questions though: 1) Doesn't the bar keep from using a creeper or mobile chair? It's not high enough to stand under. 2) Just how high does it go up? 3) It looked like the front tire was hitting the lift on the vette? Or very close? 4) Seems a bit expensive - I'm seeing prices nearly $3000 4) How would you store this if you don't have room in your garage floor to the side?
The best part about the lift is it come in Blue.I did not know about the moving kit. Now it is a tool that I need as I can use it out doors and store it inside Thanks
I have a Twin Busch lift. Unfortunately they no longer have a branch here in the USA which makes parts much harder to get and more expensive. It also makes it so I can’t obtain accessories for mine such as the extension bars I found on their website that I’d love to have on my lift for larger vehicles and trucks. With lack of parts/accessories availability I can’t say I’d highly recommend Twin Busch mid rise lifts and I’ve also had a couple parts go bad on mine such as the magnetic safety latch release. The control panel also is not easily detachable (such as quick connects for the hydraulic lines and a simple plug or two for the electrical between the lift and panel) which makes it much harder to move the unit as a whole once assembled. It’s extremely heavy as well which also makes it hard to move. My guess is it has to be around at least 800-1,100lbs as my compact tractor struggles to lift it when I need to move it on occasion in my shop to clean….
I like that you can access the center undercarriage area unlike the one piece scissor lift. Seems like residential delivery would be a hassle for me without a lift gate truck or a forklift. I'll have to look into delivery to a local terminal where they could load it to my trailer.
That lift is awesome for what I would need at my house a short ceiling in my garage also and it's portable great for changing oil on the vehicles doing brake jobs working under the car. Perfect.
Thank you for the great review! Regarding the Twin Bush TW S3-10E vs the Quick Jack 7000 TL....I feel the Twin Bush appears more beefy. However, there is one thing I am struggling with when it comes to the Twin Bush. While you can certainly move it around, what are you going to do if you need to get it out of the way? Gas Tachs garage is pretty bi, so you can move it to another bay. If you do not have that luxury, or are using the second bay, where are you going to put this one? It looks like both ramps are connected. Not to advertise Quick Jack here as I have no affiliation (just looking for an inexpensive and sturdy solution myself), but the QJ is about $1k cheaper- nothing to sneeze at for me....
Great video. This lift looks better and sturdier then the quick jack 7000 tl I've been looking into. Quick jack looks weak to me. What are your thoughts on the quick jack and what is the price of your unit?
Great Video, thanks for sharing. Was looking for something functional as an alternate to the old school column style lift. I will be considering this as a solution.
Thanks for the video. The only thing I'm not keen on are the 2 bars that could restrict access underneath the car, I fear that you could stumble over them when crawling around under the car
I would need a simple lift just to prevent the 4 tires from touching the ground so that long term storage won’t create permanent flat spots in the tires wi his the present problem I have now. Is there something like this?
Yes since I got mine the price has gone up, but keep in mind this is a smaller company and the prices increase faster so the post lifts will also go up in price soon
the e bay one is not from twin bush. twin bush web site shows being discontinue. i really want the full but when i e mailed and ask they say supply shortage and in a year will be up to date. that was last year so dont know if they stopped selling it the u.s. seems like you can get it in uk though sighhh.
Hi friend, question for you. Have you found any vehicles that were not able to work due to the drive over platforms being the jack points? Reason I ask is because I have a big range of vehicles by size (tiny bmw z4, c6 corvette, several hummers, and a humvee). My concern is that I will find a limitation with where the platforms don't reach the jacking points on the vehicles. I am debating between this lift and a similar midrise that uses adjustable arms to pivot around to the lift points of the vehicles but Ive love to hear if you came across any vehicles personally that didn't work. My widest vehicle (humvee) is 84" wide. From what I see online, these tracks around about 75" wide so driving over them with the humvee may be difficult. Cheers!
@@GasTachs I called them. They said due to the nature of the scissor lift, there has to be higher "pre-lift" in order to lift heavier vehicle such as Model Y. The vehicle is lower than normal vehicle which add to the problem. The solution is to add more platform for it to drive on so the lift has more leverage and better angle for the hydraulic system to extend. I think it's kinda like you need to extend the radius to apply more torque.
He says you only need a 110v electrical....but they Ebay link to the item has a few customer reviews saying it doesn't work with 110v and they needed to upgrade to 220v electrical
So does this require a 15 or 20amp receptacle? My friend brought one brand new a while and has never got it working. It seemed as it didn’t have enough power. Any ideas.
I have the S-19 and I never got mine working either. It won’t work with 30 amps. It won’t reliably lift the platform itself . It’s the most expensive raised desk I have ever owned. All they do is blame the power and offer no real help. Even if you do get these lifts working, you shouldn’t trust it to be able to get it down if it gets stuck on the locks. Maybe these work in Europe, but not in the US. I can’t even get them to sell me a new motor. So in my opinion, if you can’t get parts from this company, it’s worthless even if it’s built well.
You say the lift does not need an air compressor, however, the link you provided has, in Red Letters " ( air compressor will be needed, minimum 30 amp breaker required) " care to explain?
So being a bigger guy, how uncofrtable is it getting to the middle of the car to do a midpipe, or whatever else one would need to do in the center without being able to roll a chair under? Is your Z lowered?
We have this same lift, I dont like that you have to add wood or ramps to use the lift,. or modify the concrete or flooring. and its too long it hits almost all the tires of each car, so its not very easy to use, cant just drive a car up, set blocks and lift. Useful but a pain at times.
Great video! This might be exactly what I'm looking for because I have a variety of vehicles: Expedition, Miata, BMW and I really disliked the idea of going with a two-post lift in my home garage. You have the lift placed the wrong way. according the manual you have to turn it 180 degrees.
I watched the assembly vid the company produced. Did you really have to wire the electrical yourself when you received it?
Just simple plugs
Did you bolt your lift to the ground? Cause it's on those slippery swisstrax's.
I don't believe he bolted it to the floor, since he said that he is moving it outside when he needs more clearance.
