She does make a good point about society in general always wanting their pound of flesh from virtually anyone who makes a mistake nowadays. Apologies are never good enough for people, and some people take it way too far.

He's not a kid getting bullied on the playground or some teenager with insecurities. He's a god damned grown man and public figure. You can't lie to the public (on multiple occasions), trivialize the danger and sacrifice of military service, and expect sympathy when you're found out.

Aw. Poor Brian Williams. We should be nice to him even though he trivialized the sacrifice of our nation's heroes and got paid a ton while he did it. He definitely deserves the country's sympathy.

What Brian Williams is getting he deserves it for lying. How does someone "misremember" being in a vehicle shot by two RPGs. He should have thought back 12 years ago of lying before reporting false information all for wanting praise and attention. Poor soldiers who were actually in those vehicles fighting to save their lives and meanwhile Brian Williams lied of actuating being there. Thats not okay, he deserves to get bashed for lying. And Brian Williams prides himself on being truthful when he bashes internet bloggers because they are not as good as him, he's going to get mocked at. But we all know he'll go back to doing what he's doing for 10million dollars a year.

stylus850 How does someone mistake being in a vehicle shot by RPGs. It doesn't make sense. He knew what he was doing and chose to lie. Theres men who put their lives at risk and he comes along and lie that he was there. My prayers go to the guys that are actually risking their lives.
How is he not given a second chance, NBC didn't fire him, he's still on tv, not in his old position but hell be back there until all this is forgotten and hell go back to his old job. But he deserves all the backlash he's getting, maybe next time he doesn't lie.

Jeremy Piven sitting there like "Hmm....yes....yes....I agree......." when you know he's really thinking "LLOYD! GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!"

wonder why she didn't feel that way when she went out of her way to embarrass Sarah Palin.....
i'm not here to take up for palin.......but couric's comments ring hollow to me
she is just as guilty of doing what she accuses others of doing
