Once I joined Disney I was hooked on Themed Entertainment (Theme Park Industry). I was hired by Universal several years ago to help bring WWoHP to Beijing! Now I am working on their next park that will be in Orlando. Epic Universe! It is a incredibly rewarding job to bring so much joy to others all over the world. Every day I pinch myself that I do this for a job!

When I went to Universal Studios in Japan, it was fun to hear Harry and the gang speak in Japanese on the rides. Couldn't understand what they were saying, but it was still an awesome experience. Hopefully, I'll be able to go there on a weekday so it is a bit quieter... but if it is anything like Universal Studios in Japan, it'll be busy every single day... “Air freshener flavour" made me laugh out loud.... and then the lactose tablets... I love you enthusiasm. I suppose an 80+ year old is jealous of a 30- year old. How do I compare this Universal Studio with either the one in California or the one Florida. 25 years ago, I attended a 3 day meeting at a Universal hotel in Florida. In the evenings, I took boat rides over to the park and enjoyed the various features. I can't remember what I have ridden but I definitely know that there was no Panda Park. I remember there was King Kong show. Anyway, thanks for the upload.

Thanks! I have been to the Universal Studios in LA. It appears that the one in Beijing has some core stuff that is the same as LA (e.g. Hogwarts, jurassic world, and minion land), but with its unique features like Kong Fu panda stuff. And the food choices look amazing in Beijing!
Universal Studios isn't like Disneyland where you just wait in line the whole time. The better part is the City Walk where people hang out and they tend to do events like free concerts. I guess if you really like rides then you have to wait in line but other stuff are high capacity so no waiting. The theme park usually keeps up to date with the blockbusters. Harry Potter is just the popular thing at the moment I guess.
Amusement parks always brings joy to everyone regardless you are a kid or adult. I am in my mid 30s but I still enjoy going to amusement parks,its like my therapy 😆
Yes I went to Universal Studios Osaka, Japan.. It's Amazing... They had similar Castle there as well... The rides were amazing as well specially Jurassic Park one (here Jurassic World)
Even after the pandemic is over, I hope they implement some sort of crowd control caps. Things can get so chaotic with so many people around. So happy you got to experience it without a huge crowd.

I have been to the one in Orlando. This theme park is very similar to the one in Orlando, Florida USA. But the one in Beijing might have just outdone the OG in Orlando. Props to China for going big with Universal Studios Orlando.
It looks amazing, but it has not yet developed to the point of Universal Orlando, which is a full-fledged resort with 2 (soon-to-be 3) theme parks, a water park, and 5+ hotels. Hopefully over time Universal in Beijing follows a similar course of development as the Orlando resort.
I've been to Universal Studio Osaka and yep, Hogwarts is very similar! If you buy particular wands, you will be able to go to certain parts and do "magic" tricks by waving the wand in a particular pattern.
first of all! tanks for coming to Beijing! and so the time you went is called the internal pressure test, starting from 8k people to 10k and gradually adding more, right now the capacity is just under 30k limitations(mid September). we went right around the same time as you did! I know this is because pretty much all of the universal workers/staff who helped built this place from the stateside has eaten at my restaurant. so it was nice to hear some insight into every now and then! but really happy to see universal make it in my hometown!
I used to go to Universal Studio in California around 30 years ago, it was fun, and I believe that the it must be much more exciting and interesting today.
i've been to the one in Osaka and they seem to have the same things. Can't wait to go to the one in USA coz I want to go on the Hogwart Express! =) I don't remember seeing a Kungfu Panda section in Osaka. That was so cool, to see Mr Ping's noodle shop.
The Hogwarts and Hogsmeade look the same as the ones in Florida that I visited a few years back. 50 yuan for a cup of butterbeer is even more expensive than in Florida!

I'm originally from the States but used to go to Universal in Orlando every summer as a kid, and have also been at Universal in Osaka. It's been some years since I went to the one in Orlando and I don't live in China anymore. However looking at your video it is very much similar to the one in Osaka. Hogsmeade leads you to the World of Harry Potter and Butter Beer is literally a cream soda. I don't remember seeing Kung Fu Panda (not a fan of the movie series) but there was a Johnny Rockets there. I also remember seeing Despicable Me (Minions), Jurassic World, Sailor Moon and a Haunted House ride. There may have been others but that's all i can remember right now. But yeah that place is massive. Imagine if they added an Epcot next door.
hi you should've tried COWFISH (burgers, sushi) or TOOTHSOME CHOCOLATE (shakes, burgers) from Universal Citywalk Florida. As for the rides you missed WATERWORLD stunt show and JURASSIC WORLD ADVENTURE dark ride (no other Universal park has this!)
Seems pretty similar to Universal Studios Hollywood. But the one in Hollywood is on top of hill and there's tram ride to the bottom through the actual studio lot which is kind of cool.
I was a crew member at Universal Studios in Osaka. Universal Studios in Beijing was fascinating because Kung Fu Panda and the first walk-through studio tour did not exist at Universal Studios in Osaka. I thought it was 🇨🇳 China that Director Zhang Yimou and Director Spielberg would come out together on the studio tour. The originality of Universal Studios in Osaka is Super Mario, so when COVID-19 converges, I definitely want you to come to Universal Studios 🇯🇵 Japan in Osaka. In the United States, there are terminators that have been abolished in Osaka, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
One thing I do not understand is that why they are keeping exactly the same attractions for the different universal studios, is it boring after you visited either one of them. And then there is nothing new when you do the next visit.
The attractions are almost always based off of hit movies or shows that involve Universal Pictures. Maybe we'll see a new attraction if they have a new mega-hit.
It’s because they’re primarily a local attraction first and foremost and not targeted for international travellers that’s been to several theme parks around the world. And building theme parks is expensive and complex so they’ll use the blueprints that already exists to build in other countries (but tailoring to the countries specifically e.g. the Kung fu panda attraction is more prominent here than you’ll see in other countries).
@@supabatman2455 Yea, it is understandable, but on the other hand, but is it not that because building a theme park is expensive, the marginal cost to develop like see a new attraction is much *not* much higher than building a new one. Otherwise if you have already seen the water world in another theme park, it then becomes boring.

Universal Studio in LA has the City Walk where you can shop and eat. The one in Singapore has one too but in different fashion and it has underground spectacular underground aquarium too. The Universal Studio rotating globe is quite similar if not identical in those 3 locations. The main themes like jurassic seems available in those 3 locations with slight variations perhaps. The LA and Singapore locations have the Waterworld show. I think Singapore has that Egypt theme, and Transformer? It's interesting that Beijing has Harry Potter and Kungfu Panda in Beijing is perfect. Inside is really like the movie. Beautiful...

Universal Studios Beijing is actually bigger than any other Universal Studios in the world. I've been to the Osaka and Hollywood ones and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is exactly the same down to the location of restaurants, train, shops. Beijing, however, have more full-size theme lands and not just rides
I still remember when Disney wanted to build a Disneyland in China (Shenzen was the first choice). Then the Chinese government suggested that Disneyland should be built in Hong Kong to create jobs for Hong Kong residents.
I usually go to Universal Studios Hollywood and we have a few of these attractions from Beijing. We do have the Hogwards as well, Transformers, Minions, and Jurassic World. Here in Hollywood, we got the Simpsons, the Mummy, Dreamworks, and mostly importantly is the Studio Tour. Since our Universal is actually a headquarters of the movie studio, we get a tour around the backlot. Definitely worth going for the tour alone.

Oh no you didn't take the Harry Potter forbidden journey ride noooo. It's one of THE best rides EVER! If you go to Hogwarts, you have to take that ride, no matter how long the line is. Well... maybe next time. Been to both Universal Studios in LA and Orlando and yes, all the Universal Studios theme parks and resort, except the one in Singapore, have Harry Potter world and all the castles and rides are exactly the same. However, if you're a potterhead, visiting Universal Studios Orlando is a MUST (buying a three-day park hopping pass is highly recommended) because it's THE biggest Harry Potter world of all. Other theme parks only have the main forbidden journey and the Hippogriff ride, but the Orlando one not only has these two, but also Diagon Alley (and another ride in the Gringott bank), and an "actual" ride that takes you from King's Cross Station to Hogsmeade.
Amy, you not just 'somehow' managed to snag a ticket for Universal Studios BJ, when it not fully opened to public. You also 'somehow' managed to get a green signal to enter China, when so many foreign students and employees (and/or their families) are still barred to enter CN. 很多人说国内这个门票和食物都很贵。不过算一算攒下的钱办签证飞美国玩LA和Orlando的花费比在北京这个现今全球最大的环球影城玩更费钱。所以不知道为什么有人居然说还不如去美国玩？

两个国家收入有差距，如果是北京土著，家里有车有房，没有贷款，就算8000元也过得美吱吱，但如果是北漂的话，除非收入很不错, 但一般这类型收入水平的话，只是部分中年人罢了。如果是外地人，去个北京吃住行，再加上北京景点挺多，难得去一次，玩个4-7天，小放开潇洒一些，一个人估摸着8000元不会少😂还有就是，北京这个估摸着人会更多，正式开园，普通票排队估摸排到心碎，卖VIP速通票又得再加500元。

I have been to the one in Orlando. This theme park is very similar to the one in Orlando, Florida USA. But the one in Beijing might have just outdone the OG in Orlando. Props to China for going big with Universal Studios Orlando.
Japan also have its own Universal Studios theme park in Osaka.

It looks amazing, but it has not yet developed to the point of Universal Orlando, which is a full-fledged resort with 2 (soon-to-be 3) theme parks, a water park, and 5+ hotels. Hopefully over time Universal in Beijing follows a similar course of development as the Orlando resort.
I've been to Universal Studio Osaka and yep, Hogwarts is very similar! If you buy particular wands, you will be able to go to certain parts and do "magic" tricks by waving the wand in a particular pattern.

i've been to the one in Osaka and they seem to have the same things. Can't wait to go to the one in USA coz I want to go on the Hogwart Express! =) I don't remember seeing a Kungfu Panda section in Osaka. That was so cool, to see Mr Ping's noodle shop.

I'm originally from the States but used to go to Universal in Orlando every summer as a kid, and have also been at Universal in Osaka. It's been some years since I went to the one in Orlando and I don't live in China anymore. However looking at your video it is very much similar to the one in Osaka. Hogsmeade leads you to the World of Harry Potter and Butter Beer is literally a cream soda. I don't remember seeing Kung Fu Panda (not a fan of the movie series) but there was a Johnny Rockets there. I also remember seeing Despicable Me (Minions), Jurassic World, Sailor Moon and a Haunted House ride. There may have been others but that's all i can remember right now. But yeah that place is massive. Imagine if they added an Epcot next door.
Seeing you're so happy, this place could certainly bought out the child out of all visitors.

hi you should've tried COWFISH (burgers, sushi) or TOOTHSOME CHOCOLATE (shakes, burgers) from Universal Citywalk Florida.
As for the rides you missed WATERWORLD stunt show and JURASSIC WORLD ADVENTURE dark ride (no other Universal park has this!)
Based on my experience in US Universal Studio, both LA and Orlando, the Harry Potter ride inside the castle is the best one and is a must-take ride.
Seems pretty similar to Universal Studios Hollywood. But the one in Hollywood is on top of hill and there's tram ride to the bottom through the actual studio lot which is kind of cool.
Whoa that's expensive even for theme parks. And those lines look like they fit 3+ hour waits.

I was a crew member at Universal Studios in Osaka. Universal Studios in Beijing was fascinating because Kung Fu Panda and the first walk-through studio tour did not exist at Universal Studios in Osaka. I thought it was 🇨🇳 China that Director Zhang Yimou and Director Spielberg would come out together on the studio tour. The originality of Universal Studios in Osaka is Super Mario, so when COVID-19 converges, I definitely want you to come to Universal Studios 🇯🇵 Japan in Osaka. In the United States, there are terminators that have been abolished in Osaka, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
One thing I do not understand is that why they are keeping exactly the same attractions for the different universal studios, is it boring after you visited either one of them. And then there is nothing new when you do the next visit.
The attractions are almost always based off of hit movies or shows that involve Universal Pictures. Maybe we'll see a new attraction if they have a new mega-hit.
It’s because they’re primarily a local attraction first and foremost and not targeted for international travellers that’s been to several theme parks around the world. And building theme parks is expensive and complex so they’ll use the blueprints that already exists to build in other countries (but tailoring to the countries specifically e.g. the Kung fu panda attraction is more prominent here than you’ll see in other countries).
@@supabatman2455 Yea, it is understandable, but on the other hand, but is it not that because building a theme park is expensive, the marginal cost to develop like see a new attraction is much *not* much higher than building a new one. Otherwise if you have already seen the water world in another theme park, it then becomes boring.

Universal Studio in LA has the City Walk where you can shop and eat. The one in Singapore has one too but in different fashion and it has underground spectacular underground aquarium too. The Universal Studio rotating globe is quite similar if not identical in those 3 locations. The main themes like jurassic seems available in those 3 locations with slight variations perhaps. The LA and Singapore locations have the Waterworld show. I think Singapore has that Egypt theme, and Transformer? It's interesting that Beijing has Harry Potter and Kungfu Panda in Beijing is perfect. Inside is really like the movie. Beautiful...

Universal Studios Beijing is actually bigger than any other Universal Studios in the world. I've been to the Osaka and Hollywood ones and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is exactly the same down to the location of restaurants, train, shops. Beijing, however, have more full-size theme lands and not just rides

There are many places to buy roast duck in Beijing, but Quanjude restaurant is not the best choice. The taste is not excellent and it is not cheap
I still remember when Disney wanted to build a Disneyland in China (Shenzen was the first choice). Then the Chinese government suggested that Disneyland should be built in Hong Kong to create jobs for Hong Kong residents.
Shanghai has one as well bit it was built after Hangkongs Disneyland
China has 2 Disney lands, and one is in Hong Kong, and the other one is in Shanghai.

I usually go to Universal Studios Hollywood and we have a few of these attractions from Beijing. We do have the Hogwards as well, Transformers, Minions, and Jurassic World. Here in Hollywood, we got the Simpsons, the Mummy, Dreamworks, and mostly importantly is the Studio Tour. Since our Universal is actually a headquarters of the movie studio, we get a tour around the backlot. Definitely worth going for the tour alone.
Food is super expensive! Then again I guess it's the same with all theme parks.
I have been to Universal Studio in Singapore and Osaka, I hope I can visit the one in Beijing in the future.

I’m guessing an ice cream float is called a spider in Australia? That transformers coaster is an exact copy of the hulk in Florida but with a different theme.
My family went to LA Universal Studio this July, and Beijing's looks pretty same with it. Nice theme park!

Oh no you didn't take the Harry Potter forbidden journey ride noooo. It's one of THE best rides EVER! If you go to Hogwarts, you have to take that ride, no matter how long the line is. Well... maybe next time. Been to both Universal Studios in LA and Orlando and yes, all the Universal Studios theme parks and resort, except the one in Singapore, have Harry Potter world and all the castles and rides are exactly the same. However, if you're a potterhead, visiting Universal Studios Orlando is a MUST (buying a three-day park hopping pass is highly recommended) because it's THE biggest Harry Potter world of all. Other theme parks only have the main forbidden journey and the Hippogriff ride, but the Orlando one not only has these two, but also Diagon Alley (and another ride in the Gringott bank), and an "actual" ride that takes you from King's Cross Station to Hogsmeade.
Amy, you not just 'somehow' managed to snag a ticket for Universal Studios BJ, when it not fully opened to public. You also 'somehow' managed to get a green signal to enter China, when so many foreign students and employees (and/or their families) are still barred to enter CN. Wonder how did you managed this all ?
