Ahoj! As someone who speaks pretty fluently in Czech (at least in a regular conversation) you did very well! It was only a day and you learnt so much. I, myself haven't fully finished learning Czech, but hope to in the near future.
Ahh that’s such an amazing comment! Thank you so much. I actually stopped learning czech to be honest… however, I really want to visit Prague this year. So… I may pick it up again 😉 could you help me out then? 💜
Ahhh wow, thank you so much for your sweet comment. You say 'another person learning Czech', does that mean you learn Czech too? Because that's great! This is not a real common language to learn, but it is fairly interesting. The country itself is also of course beautiful. xx
@@BecomingaPolyglot Yes, I'm learning Czech too. It's pretty similar to my native language (Polish), so it's much easier, but still hard sometimes. Good luck with your journey!
Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it! However I’m noooowhere near a decent level of Czech. Hope to improve one day by actually going to Prague! Thank you again and good luck on your language journey!
Fellow aspiring polyglot here :) I hope you keep posting these videos regularly (they're great by the way), then I can (sort of) use them as a way to hold myself accountable of my own language learning process. Even tough we're studying different languages.
Hii! Wow thank you for leaving this comment, that makes me truly happy to hear. I’m still finding my way on TH-cam, but I’m so glad that you liked it so far. Which languages are you learning? 😊 I hope to post more study with me videos in the future!
For just one day, you did great! Randomly found this video while looking for some Czech videos to review some basics I forgot 😂 Always nice to see other Czech learners, so this was a nice distraction. Good luck with your studies in general 👍
Oh for real?! that's great hahah thank you for watching and commenting, glad you liked it :) Good luck with your Czech studies, I know how difficult it can be
Thank you! That makes me really happy to hear. hahah yea I love the fact that I have two big windows in my room, but sadly I do have little space to work. Nevertheless, it works for now :)
Incredible video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.
Thank you! This is such an enlightening comment! And please note, I am no polyglot. I am just interested in various languages and cultures ☺️ indeed there are a lot of people who mention that they learn languages as fast as possible, which is not realistic at all. I hoped to convey that in this video too!
@@BecomingaPolyglot Everything takes time and effort! It takes 100 hours to learn a language up to level A2. It is up to the student to spend those 100 hours. If you study 10 hours a day, you can reach level A2 in 10 days. I had fun learning Croatian and in 2 weeks I reached the level required for a tourist. You can learn the language quickly, but not everyone has the mental strength to study the language for 6-10 hours a day! For some reason you have a French accent in the pronunciation of Czech :)
Great to hear!! German is a great language to learn as well, I did it up untill B2. But I will be honest and say that I have lost most of it by now... Too bad. Luckily it is close to my native language Dutch :) Good luck studying!
You got pretty wrong that "Chci", you readed it like "Chči". Sometimes you read something with french pronanciation ("a je mi" sounded like a'žemi), something like english (i.e. Ten - sounded like then in english). But everything you said was actually easy to understand (except "Chči"). So, good job 🙂
As a native speaker of Czech, I have to say that Czech language is one of the most difficult languages. Even Czech native speakers make a lot of mistakes in grammar because it's sooooo difficult.
Ahh yes, honestly, I would say the same thing about my language Dutch. Also so many native people make mistakes in Dutch. It’s a good example of how one should not be scared learning a different language and making mistakes when even native speakers still make significant mistakes. Thank you for watching my video!
Ah at the beginning when I saw you struggling I really wanted to help you, but then you actually did quite a lot of progress. I tutor Czech informally and maybe we could have a language exchange or something. Let me know if you need some help!
Haha yea I was really really struggling! Thank you for offering your help, I appreciate it😊 if you reach out to me on Instagram, we could stay in touch! Then I will message you once I could use some help. My IG is also becoming a polyglot
Hahaha yes definitely! I also did this to prove to everyone that it’s not possible to learn a language in one day. As I mention in the end, do I now know Czech? Uhh no... hahaha it takes sooo much more time and effort. But it was fun to emerge myself into the language the whole day 😊
I'm learning Czech 🇨🇿 and you did very well in 1 day! I enjoyed your video 😊
Wow thank you! That’s really sweet. How great that you are learning Czech as well! Perhaps we should stay in touch then 😊
poor you, i am czech and our language is freaking hard we have many rules how to write words,y/i, and much more
