I still need to finish the Elisabeth Elliot one this month. It’s been slow going for me. Oh yeah the journal entries - oooooo she didn’t even like them girrrrl👀
THE SUMMER OF YES was one of my favorites so far this year!! I loved it. The banter and sarcasm had me laughing out loud. HOME IS WHERE THE BODIES ARE was ok. I gave it a 3.5 . It had potential but fell short.
Thanks for the wrap up! I started reading the Deep Dish Mysteries and really like them. I gave the first two books four stars. I'm currently reading a Christian fiction called The Forge by Chris Fabry. I can relate to it so much! 🚗
I read A Novel Proposal by Denise Hunter and there were too many things that made me feel uncomfortable personally. I won't be reading any more of her books. I like my books completely clean so her books might be ok for everyone else but they are not for me. I read cozy mysteries in July. My favorite books were Peking Duck and Cover by Vivien Chien, Sniffing Out Murder by Kallie E Benjamin, and Brie Careful What You Wish For by Linda Reilly. I enjoyed all of them and recommend them!🚙
KC played football from a little kid until he was a senior, and he had multiple concussions. Honestly, we lost count. 🙈 I’ve never understood why we glorify such a sport
I don’t feel like I can pick a favorite book for July. They were all so close for me. But I did love The Summer of Yes. Especially Dylan!! 🥰🥹 Also, I think you just helped me remove Becoming Elisabeth Elliot from my TBR. I really want to read some of the books that she wrote first.
Yeah hit or miss on Denise haha if you do try her again, check out the newer ones.
The summer of yes!!!! I am truly truly truly so THANKFUL we got to read that together 🥹💕 and the in PERSON book club 😭🤭 the best!!!
We definitely need to do it again for the next meet up! 🥹💕

I’m about to start the second in the secret book and scone society! I loved the first one!!
That’s awesome! I hope to get to the second one soon.
So I feel the same as far as your thoughts on Riley Sager books! 😂 I wasn’t a fan of Middle of the Night.

He really is hit or miss for me!

I finished Middle of the Night, but it definitely wasn't a favorite Riley Sager for me. It was decent, but not amazing like some of his other books 😊

🚗 bummer about the Riley Sager, I haven’t been impressed with his recent books.
I really liked last year’s release. But he is definitely hit or miss for me.
Watching this back i feel like you didn’t have a very good reading month 🫠🫠 but at least you found a new favorite!
Yeah it wasn’t great but I did have 2 5-stars and new favorites - The Summer of Yes and The Secret Book and Scone Society! 🥰

Dylan!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Also, yes, I’d say just read Elisabeth’s books. Not this biography. 🙈
