totally agree with you on the 3.5 stars for reckless - such a bummer, but I have even higher hopes for the next release!! we really need some PLOT (!!) in fearless 🥸
there’s a specific quote in “a novel love story” where elsy talks about not loving a part of the series and then at a better time she rereads it and loves it and when you said you would have loved a novel love story during the fall it made me giggle cause it was a perfect quote for that moment😭
wait i've also been so obsessed with the single parent trope in books recently and i kept wondering why and i realized it's because when a kid is in the book they're just forced to have these wholesome moments and i eat it up every time 😭 it's just too good
Thank you so much for posting. 😢❤You are amazing. Every time you post I'm really happy. My grandpa passed away today, and seeing your post made me feel better. Thank you❤🎉
anxious people was one of the books that got me really into reading! i love how fredrick backman tells a story it was soooo good. i also posted my wrap up today!!
I ate Play Along up - I love that series so much. Was really wishing there'd be an installment for Monty though. I'm reading Summer Romance right now - gotta cram the summery readings in this last month before all the cozy books come for 6 months of a midwestern winter.
Omg I read Summer Romance in one day and it became my favorite romance book SO FAST!! I absolutely LOVED it 🥰 It had me giggling, kicking my feet, and sobbing all at the same time
GIRL! Please read The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, Go As A River by Shelley Read, Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith and Scythe by Neal Shusterman! They’re all SO good! I know you said you would read Scythe in the fall but it’s too good to not start now! BUT! I’d suggest starting with The Great Alone because it’s just amazing. It will make you giggle, cry with anger, sadness and happiness! And then Go as a River. It’s just. Uh. Chefs kiss. Oh! Also, Dark Matter by Blake Crouch.
I've never read Ashley Poston but A Novel Love Story seems so good! I gotta make it a cozy fall read and get into her other books as well. Especially since I always imagine being in the Gilmore Girls world (even though it's not a book) I know I'll be wishing I'm in Stars Hollow while I'm reading lol
Saraaa you have to read “forest of dreams and whispers” i think you’ll love it!! Highly Highly recommend it’s light on fantasy and has *chefs kiss* banter ❤
Im in the middle of the chestnut springs series right now and I'm loving it!!! 😍 Didn't know about them until I read wild love and absolutely loved that one too.
reckless is honestly my favorite from chestnut springs. i love theo and winter so much. i also agree with reckless by lauren roberts honestly im probably going to go back and reread it just because i sped read it just so it wouldnt be spoiled but it was a bit predictable in my opinion. play along was honestly my favorite read of the year so far.
I agree about reckless 😊 I love your wrap-ups especially for your opinions which sometimes are exactly how I feel but can't word it right ❤❤❤ love this
My librarian in grade school had the name Poston & pronounced it with a long O, like a fence post. I listened to seven year slip on audio and they pronounced it with a long O, too.
I am so sad to hear people aren’t liking Reckless because I really enjoyed it. I understand that it doesn’t follow the main plot points from Powerless but that’s kind of the point. It’s its own book and it has its own plot. There was a LOT happening in the book and we got to watch how the characters processed and grew from the experiences of the first book. If we jumped into the main plot without all of this it simply wouldn’t make sense. They needed to work through some stuff before the trilogy can wrap up the main plot in the third book.
the fact that u just “enjoyed” this winter is CRAZY - this novella ripped my heart out it was nothing enjoyable are u serioussss😭😭😭 no one talks about the pain of hearing about charlie and TORI OMG the way she talks about herself is DEVASTATING. u will gain so much more sympathy for Tori after reading solitaire 😭 omg
I saw the trailer for the perfect couple and it looks soooo good so I picked up the book. I was honestly thinking about soft dnfing it because I couldn’t get into it but I think you’ve convinced me to give it another go! I feel like I started reading it at the wrong time but I’ve also never read an Elin Hilderbrand book and there were so many characters 😂
love seeing you talk about Heartstopper and I'm so excited to read Play Along now ps: just a heads up, A Novel Love Story is not Magical Realism (even though it says so on Goodreads) ... MR is a very specific genre mostly related to Latin America and its struggles, so this is book is actually Fabulism (fantasy elements placed in a everyday setting).
THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING RUNAWAY LOVE LOL!!! I saw that in store today and wanted to add it to my books to buy list but couldn't remember what it was called so Thank You!!! 😂❤
i’m currently reading reckless by lauren robert’s and i am loving it so far! i think that i will have a bit of a different reading experience than you because i am tabbing the series, and that’s okay! Also, will you make a live where we sit and read together so that we can fangirl when something happens in the books we read?
I suggest Diving In by Bianca Miller for a small beach town-set read. It's sweet and emotional. The main girl goes back to her tiny beach town after her estranged dad dies, finds closure, and sees her brother's best friend/teenage crush again, which is the romance story. Cal Thomas is so great!
Just a friendly reminder to please expand your reading list to authors of color (: some author recommendations of mine include Ocean Vuong, Talia Hibbert, Kennedy Ryan, Ashley Woodfolk, Octavia E Butler, Susan Abulhawa, Candice Carty Williams, etc❤
Reckless by Elsie Silver is definitely my favorite Chestnut Springs book. I relate so much to Winter. Literally loved every aspect of it the story and (spoiler alert) the accidental pregnancy plot was so well written and the reason why Theo didn’t know was very good and also the formula of the book is different in a good way. Gave it 6 stars. Literally read all 432 pages in one setting lmao.
Girl, you have been feeding us lately! Loved the video!! Glad you loved volume 4 of Heartstopper, it’s one of my favorite book series ever! I heavily recommend you reading the rest of Alice Osemans books, they’re so good!⭐️
I felt the same about a novel love story. I was so excited about the concept and I still think it’s a good idea but I didn’t love the story. I loved the thought behind it though. Not to mention the cover is adorbs 😂
In Girl Abroad, not that it changes anything but it wasn't the roommate's sister's boyfriend it was the boyfriend of the friend of the roommate's sister. I think listening to the audiobook you might have missed that character. Love your content always 💕💕💕
Himsara I absolutely love elin Hildebrands books too. I have the perfect couple and the swan song on my tablet plus the hotel in Nantucket. Love her books. Great vlog❤
I'm so sad you didn't enjoy Reckless as much! I totally see your reasoning, but I was able to put that aside because I loved the banter so much. 😂 Also, I felt the same way you did about Assistant to the Villain!
I just bought powerless and powerful today and I'm very excited to read it!! Other than Bride by Ali Hazelwood it's going to be my first fantasy of any kind so I'm very excited and nervous to try it out!!!
I’ve re read several of the cat who books by Lilian Jackson Braun several times and the same with the Nero Wolfe series of books by Rex stout. I know when one of my favorite side characters in the cat who series dies Liz heart . She first appeared in the book the cat who came to breakfast. Which I recommend. It hurt she didn’t make it to the end of the series . And with Nero wolf I think the book I’ve read the most is the black mountain a Nero Wolfe mystery by Rex stout.
Hey hey!! I'm so happy to hear that you love Backman's writing he is one of my fav authors!! You should definitely check out "A man called Ove" by him. Its his best work in my opinion and its a story that will stick with me forever. 💗🌷
I read a man called Ove, by Fredrick Blackman earlier this year and it made me SOB. I immediately ran out to get anxious people and I can’t wait to start it
sara in her active era? we’re loving it 🩶
IT WAS RARE!! I WAS THERE
totally agree with you on the 3.5 stars for reckless - such a bummer, but I have even higher hopes for the next release!! we really need some PLOT (!!) in fearless 🥸

Sameeee that’s partly what I loved about Just for the Summer (not quite single parent but you know)
To me it's because single dad usually means age gap trope too 😊
My mood every time Sara posts📈
I've heard so many people say the same about reckless so you're definitely not alone in this Sara! I could hear you talk about books for hours 🙈💌📚
Thank you so much for posting. 😢❤You are amazing. Every time you post I'm really happy. My grandpa passed away today, and seeing your post made me feel better.

Omg. A 40 minute video of Sarah talking about books is all I needed! 😌
I loved Summer Romance when you said “sweatpants” I laughed out loud! Her books are gold for sure!
You are the best Booktuber! I love hearing your reccomendations💗
Omg I read Summer Romance in one day and it became my favorite romance book SO FAST!! I absolutely LOVED it 🥰 It had me giggling, kicking my feet, and sobbing all at the same time

yesss it’s wrap up season!!
GIRL! Please read The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, Go As A River by Shelley Read, Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith and Scythe by Neal Shusterman! They’re all SO good! I know you said you would read Scythe in the fall but it’s too good to not start now!

That’s what I kept picturing when I was reading it!!
i gave it 5 stars i thought it was really good so it kinda hurt that sara only gave it 3😭 lmk what you think of it if you get to it!
@@gillian6918 I've seen a lot of average reviews on it but I think it's something I'll really enjoy. I'm excited to get to it!
Saraaa you have to read “forest of dreams and whispers” i think you’ll love it!! Highly Highly recommend it’s light on fantasy and has *chefs kiss* banter ❤

Love your wrap ups and recommendations. Swan Song - generally means your “Final Act” or “The Last One”. Good name for a last book.

It’s so funny that there are 2 Reckless books and 2 Kai’s.

Just came back from the US and bought my first Elin Hilderbrand book! Can’t wait to read 28 summers ❤
I've been waiting for this!
currently reading a novel love story! i agree, it’s a bit slow paced. i was hoping to love it as much as the seven year slip 💔
Girl, you have been feeding us lately! Loved the video!! Glad you loved volume 4 of Heartstopper, it’s one of my favorite book series ever! I heavily recommend you reading the rest of Alice Osemans books, they’re so good!⭐️

I could not get into caught up but play along is my fav book is this series hands down
def using you as an excuse to reread reckless 🤠
im using her as an excuse to reread the entire chestnut spring series haha ❤🤠
Eu fico muito confusa em ler a legenda e prestar atenção em você ao mesmo tempo. Mas é divertido, adorando seus vídeos!!!
I'm so sad you didn't enjoy Reckless as much! I totally see your reasoning, but I was able to put that aside because I loved the banter so much. 😂 Also, I felt the same way you did about Assistant to the Villain!
Sara!!! Have you watched the Netflix good girls guide to murder adaptation?? Need to know your thoughts!!
Its Poe-ston. A booktuber wanted to know so I went back to my audiobook of The Seven Year Slip and the narrator pronounced it as Poe-Ston.
I just read powerless so I’m gonna order reckless by Elsie Silver soon 💗😍
Yay, the bestie Sara has posted again (:
I just bought powerless and powerful today and I'm very excited to read it!! Other than Bride by Ali Hazelwood it's going to be my first fantasy of any kind so I'm very excited and nervous to try it out!!!

I need to reread heartless and reckless cause i am seriously unable to decide which is my top chestnut springs books between the two 🎸👢🤠
Romance 💘 is a big genre here I rarely see westerns or pulps .
On booktube . As whole .
I DNF’d the 1st book in the Windy City as well! But maybe I’ll try the rest!
I read a man called Ove, by Fredrick Blackman earlier this year and it made me SOB. I immediately ran out to get anxious people and I can’t wait to start it
Hey Sara! If you struggle to imagine the novel in your head while you’re reading, you may have what’s called aphantasia
Can we talk about how you read
2 books called Reckless
2 books with a Kai
1 book by Elsie Silver + 1 book with a main character named Elsie
You should do a book challenge starting with a book w a random word in the title and the next book has to have the same word in the title 👀
I gave A Novel Love Story 3⭐️ as well. It just did not hit for me either and the romance was completely unbelievable to me. I had such high hopes.
Was reckless actually a let down for you guys? I loved it maybe even more than powerless and I HAVE NEVER CRIED SO MUCH OVER A BOOK.
