Most underrated channel. Loved the way this channel presents Indian history.
What about that episode when JNU professor Pushpesh Pant mentioned the name sampusht in Sanskrit and mentioned that we indian used to have this snack filled with cauliflower as potatoes were not found here in ancient times. And the same is still served in eastern part of India, especially Kolkata, gobhi wale chote samose. Kripya ispe bhi Nazar daaliye.
Aise to gujiya bhi h bhai. But i guess they are talking about modern samosa.
@@xlr8466 I beg to differ, as they drew the comparison from ancient Egypt mentioning delicacy filled with meat , vegetables and dry fruits mix. If you see, they were also referring to empanadas, moon shaped fried pastries. And How modern is modern ?

@@ashutoshpandey3112 like we hav similar thing in UP what you described in vedas. And apna matar wala samosa aur daal wala too, and one which is only available in my village meetha samosa. That is filled with dry fruits and khoya. But i wont say they are like samosa. They could be pre cursor of samosa or cousin of samosa. But the modern samosa i feel is more or less aaloo samosa. It is the most known version of dish. People made songs about it. If i say samosa even in New york people think aaloo samosa. Even though i like my meetha samosa and meat samosa more.
