  • @BlondieSL
    @BlondieSL 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Nice job on those things.
    But what really caught my attention is just how clean the prints are!
    Perhaps it's just lighting or video quality, but they look super smooth. I'm not seeing obvious layer lines.
    I see that the printer you are using is actually on sale on Amazon.
    I looked at it. The only downside for me is that it's only 220x220*250.
    I guess that's good for most stuff, but sometimes, like today, I need to print crazy big.
    I'm just about to start a print of an Orchid Planter that is 320mm long.
    Still, perhaps a smaller printer for basic stuff would be ok, since it prints so nicely.
    May I ask, do you use Cura slicer with that printer??
    Thanks in advance.
    *[UPDATE]*
    Ok, I looked at a bunch of reviews on this printer and most are very positive.
    But there are lots too, where the printer works great for a few weeks or so, then starts to act up big time.
    Including dragging the nozzle across the bed, scratching it!
    The biggest problem is the lack of support from the company that makes this printer.
    People are reporting that they'll open a ticket and they'll receive and email to try a few things, they do so, doesn't work, so the company responds that they'll send a new extruder assembly.
    But it never arrives. When people try to contact support for an update, their emails are totally ignored!
    So some try to open a new ticket. Only for the exact same process to happen. IGNORED.
    In other cases, people try to open yet another ticket, only to have it immediately closed due to "duplicate."
    It's 2024 and personally, I will NOT buy something from a company that has such bad (or non-existent) support. That's just rotten for the customers.
    I was contemplating buying a Creality K1 Max, which is pricey. But consistently, where there's any issue at all, Creality support is right there to help. When there was a mass issue with the extruder (bad design) they designed a new version of extruder that doesn't have the same problems as the old one. Any customer to contacts support about the bad extruder, is sent a new one.
    Then, all new machines leaving the factory after the new extruder design, all have the new extruder.
    That's support!
    So no Kobra for me!

    I have the any cubic kobra max.
    I've been trying to change alot of my slicer settings. I still see lines in my print. Any chance you could help me. ? I started to use the trees for support but removing them is a giant pain and leaves marks. Please someone help me find a way to make this smooth like this video. These prints look so good and I've been messing with mine so much. I've went threw 7 or 8 1kg rolls since I've got it having fun. And trying to adjust and it looks like I'm failing after this guy's work.

    how you can do this timelapse without the hothead in scene?

    • @DukeDudeston
      @DukeDudeston 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you can put in a custom command in the gcode to move it out of the way each layer and move the bed forward.
      This will of course take longer to print and could also cause more issues than its probably worth.

    There is an honest non-zero amount of irony in showing off Ikea Skadis pegboards all throughout your video creating more desk cluttery "space saving" prints, that franky also used far more filament than skadis accessories or honeycomb walls or any other number of wall storage solution would.
