I own a 2024 envision and I can say that the build quality of this car is very good it has all the technical I could ask for and as for power it has plenty, don’t understand the people who say it need 350 horsepower. I love driving this car and I did look at many other brands of cars from Toyota to ford and Nissan the envision was a bargain. But everyone has different preferences for cars but this works for me but I am a 66 year old retired guys maybe I’m the target buyer for the old guy car.
I so agree. Beautiful car. I really wish they'd stop killing off sedans. Bring back the Malibu, Impala, Cruze, and most of all, the Camaro. Like, why? 😔
We are looking to upgrade our 2016. It is so hard to find a vehicle as good as it is for a reasonable price. We really don't want a crossover either. Sedan or liftback- Prius, Crown, etc.
Just leased a 2024 preferred and love it! But I can totally see me upgrade to the avenir when my lease is done! And since I won’t have the negative equity I did when I got the preferred I’m hopeful my 640 payment can go a little lower but till then I can see me enjoying it!
My wife and I paid $32,000 Canadian $ for our Envision with the dress up Avenir package. It has Cadillac luxury with Chevy pricing. It is quieter and has a smoother ride than a comparable Honda - and $20,000 less. It does NOT need more horsepower. Its not as quick as my Benz but she only drives it in the city. We love our Buick.
Horsepower is fine. We’ve driven ours (different year but same engine and tranny) to Florida from Kentucky 3 times and have no problems. Set the cruise on 75 and we average 38 mpg.
Nice review. Motormouth loved this thing, and I’m interested. Looks like a good near-lux value to me, except if I’ve read/seen other reviews correctly, it does lane keeping/departure warning only, NOT lane centering. As an alternative to a luxury vehicle, I consider that lane centering to be a must/deal-breaker today. ❤️✌🏻✌🏻❤️
Great video guys. Really well done and like the reliability/resale comparisons between this car and luxury vs other ‘regular’ midsize SUVs. I'm a Buick owner. I've had 3 of them. And I like A LOT about this car. But I still can't get over the fact that this is built in China. I know, I know: lots of stuff we buy comes from China. But I don't want my Buick coming from there, sorry.
Not gonna lie, Buick has been on a roll on their compact SUVs recently. I woild be hard-pressed to buy the Caddy XT4 over this. It actually looks like it will age more gracefully than the angular Cadillac. I'm seeing Buick's compact CUVs everywhere! My only critiques would be the general use of black piano plastic on the center console, which is alreadt scuffed and scratched on this example, so it is obvious it won't have a great finish in the long term. The rear camera display should've been larger, considering the real estate of the screen.
Black piano plastic is being used all over the place buy a ton of manufacturers. BMW is very guilty of it & has been called out on it by car review places & by customers yet, they can't resist the cheap shiny that looks good in the showroom. It's the bane of my existence in my daily driver.

Buick sells more cars in China than it does in North America and some Buicks are now designed and manufactured with the Chinese market in mind. Fun fact, more than 50% of GM cars sold in Mexico and Latin America are made or are re-badged Chinese products.
Buick has a huge presence in China believe it or not. Its been that way for quite a few years. It would actually cost more to build these here, vs just importing the models from China, which are built in a GM factory. The Big 3 figured out how to build their small cars abroad and import, leaving room for large SUVs and pickups that we crave.
Tech is cheap, sold for primo money. A navigation system use to be a $3,500 option. That’s when you could buy a plug in Garmin for 180. What’s powering the vehicle? That’s the real question isn’t?
Funny you should ask! I test drove one because my Chevy Volt has gotten too difficult for me to get in and out of in my senior years. And I am 5'11". The Envision Avenir was easier and then I raised the power seat and it got even easier. Then I raised the seat to the max and it was just easy to get out as when I was young (without getting pinned under the steering wheel). I found a lot of the comparable SUVs are about 64-5" in height. But the different trims have different-sized wheels which will add or subtract inches from the "h-point" (hip point of the seat) and roof height.

Directional signals on the mirrors are a stylistic choice and serve no actual added purpose besides looking cool so idk why you’re saying that as if it should be in every car above 35k lmao
@@Ploto-c2k To me, it' an additional safety item, so if the person on the left or right has an additional warning of your intentions. This is not to say you should just do it unsafely.
@@melvinjacobs2328 it’s not tho… first off you can’t even see when the side mirror turn signals are on from behind a vehicle so you have to look at the taillight if you’re behind someone and if you’re in front of someone let’s just say that you can see the headlights going on and off more than you can see a tiny little slim led light on the mirror. And then to take away from your point, if there was someone on the side of you, you wouldn’t even be getting over in the first place. But to each their own I guess but they really serve no additional purpose besides looking good tbh.
Looks great but, I test drove an Avenir and for $50,000, it wasn't very luxurious, comfortable, quiet, powerful. It felt a little "thin", a little cheap. It's got a tiny motor that's tweaked with the 9-speed transmission to get as much performance as possible but, which would be okay it were $30k.

Why would anyone spend $6k more for the buick which is made in china and get less? The 2025 Mazda CX-5 turbo premium edition has this beat which comes in at less than $40k, thats $8k less than the buick.
...and before some schmuck says my phone is made in china, no it isn't, it's made in Korea, its a Samsung
My dad was a GM employee. He always said why buy a Buick when you can get a Caddy for the same price. Caddy's are just nicer.
That’s his opinion. I would still choose a Buick over a caddy anyway. I’ll even choose a Lincoln over caddy.
You cannot buy a Cadillac for the same price as a similarly equipped Buick. Please go back on your antipsychotic medication liked we talked about just prior to your inpatient stay last month.
I tested both the price is different buick more cheaper not same price thouhg
Too bad GM decided to build this car in China! Very disappointing!
So GM is building these in China and shipping them back over. Lovely. 🙄
Really
Yep, with everything else
Volume knob looks soooooo lonely, and why put headlights inside the infotainment system?
Set once never use again
Looks too much like a hatchback. I prefer the last generation body style.
Yes, that thrashing tractor noise is just like GM of old. Had too much nonsense over the years and from them the dealers are the worst. No thank you.
i hate short wheel base suv,s
China? I might consider it if it were built in Japan! Its a no go for me! Buick, bring home the bucks and put Made in the USA back on the label!
OMG!! Dude where do u think ur phone was from?
Seems to be too floaty of a ride

An American brand made in China. Can't say that cheap things come out of China anymore. Looks good.
these are not made in China, they are built in Korea
Nope, China
$48,000 and no directional signals on the mirrors. Unbelievable.
Ofc it’s from China! 😂
How soon will you review the 2025 Enclave Avenir?
Next month
Faux exhaust tips. The design is hardly bold or original.
