I replaced mine a few weeks ago had a lot of trouble bleeding it and still have to pump it quite often to get pedal. I did not replace or recall seeing a crush washer I bet that’s my problem. Thanks your videos have helped me many times to keep my old b2200 on the road.
This happened to me a few months ago, was trying to rev match the gear change but finally got a red light and it was game over 😅. Easy fix, and a flexi hose slave cylinder was the choice I went with. No dramas now......except my rear main seal...... Geeeeezuz!!!!
Nice, for those who haven't "had the pleasure" of swapping a new one in. I've had my 1988 B2200 since 1994 and here's what I've done on my slave cylinder: Oct. 1995, rebuilt it. Dec. 1996, rebuilt it. Jan 1997 new slave, lifetime. Sept. 1999, warranty slave. March 2003, warranty slave. Sept. 2008, warranty slave. Oct. 2011, warranty slave. March 2023, warranty slave. My plan has been for a while to replace both clutch master and clutch slave at same time. The previous lifetime slave cylinders were through CarQuest/Advance (many different brand names on the boxes through the years), but I doubt that I'd deal with them anymore, had to go to the store 4 times in 2023 to get the replacements, not worth it.
Had to do mine back in July, not too bad of a job, pain in the butt getting my wrench on that hose nut for the final tightening I believe haha, but other than that, not too bad. I was fortunate to have someone that could hit my pedal for me so I bled it that way. I can't remember if I had a crush washer or not, I'm leaning towards not, but so far so good, no leaks and everything works, although my pedal feels a bit different so maybe that's something to look into.
Hey mitch! So my 1990 b2600i might be having problems, i pressed in my clutch pedal and it stayed down and wouldn't come back up till i raised it with my foot, then it operates normally. Should i go ahead and replace my slave cylinder? its all from what i can tell oem still
Sorry to ask an unrelated question but I wanted to comment on your most recent video. Can you point me in the right direction online to find where the spot welds are on the front end of these things? Mine needs new inner fenders & core support but I can't find anything on Google 😊
Same he did but make sure the hose is tight to the bleed screw no air coming out or inside and pump the clutch the other side of the hose inside a bottle with fluid so when u let the clutch go ill suck just brake fluid no air
GREAT VIDEO!! Now I know how and will do this on truck
Glad to help

Love the Six Million dollar man sound effects! I wonder how many people watching won't know about it.
Ha probably not very many.
Haha! You and Jeff Williams are the only toobers I watch that use that effect. Totally rad!
Great video to a new owner of a b2000. Any videos on brake proportioning valve? Having serious issues with brakes. Any help will be appreciated.
No video right now on that but you can use the service manual. mazdaminitruckin.com/service-manual/

Great explanation Mitch. When's ur shirts coming back on the site?
Working on it
Great video man. I do have a question. I hear heavy creaking sounds when I press and release my clutch. What could be causing this, any tips?
Could be the fork against the throwout bearing, it could be DRY, I usually have my for lubricated.
@@MazdaMitch ok thanks

I would and all the rubber lines AND the master as well. Do this before it puts you down somewhere in a parking lot and it's 105f outside
@@MazdaMitch Thank you! i love watching your videos, they inspired me to find my own mini mazda truck! thanks again man!

Your best option is to start taking it apart, you'll see the spot welds. Get a spot weld remover tool to use in a drill and go at it.
I changed all the lines an master cylinder with the slave cylinder an can't get all the air out need some help or tips thanks
Did you use a crush washer on your hose connection? If not it'll suck air in.
I just seen that in your video an no it didn't come with one thanks buddy
Hey what's up buddy I got air in my line an can't get it out
