Nice. I've been running genuine Redline Weber in my B2200 since 2005. I also used Permatex Aviation (no RTV). I needed a stronger return spring, and real good vacuum caps too. I used blue Loctite. Lower adapter to the intake manifold gets torqued to 12 ft lbs; upper adapter gets torqued to 6 ft lbs (72 inch lbs).
Man you are doing the most for these trucks I just picked up an insanely clean one that sputters a bit and the previous owner said he replaced fuel pump and fuel filter, runs decently now but still has stock carb with 118k miles on it and cant wait to tackle this because of you. My confidence with it is through the roof and it'll be my first time replacing a carb not on a lawn mower lol, thanks Mitch!!
Hey Mitch love the video! I had put a new Weber k610 it’s a 32/36 on my 87 ram 50. I’m new to carbs so I don’t know but When I first turned the key the carb would redline once it started and I’m wondering if you could have any idea of what that could be? I’m going to do the the basic from you’re video. Thank you!
Hey, I have a mazda b2600 I think but am not sure because it was abandoned in my granfathers farm. Are there any major difference in the carburetor needed between the 2200 and the 2600 or will either work? thank you!
That bowl vent doesn't need to be open to atmosphere huh? I've always suspected mine to lose its fuel prime and in need of a check valve before the carb. Please advise.
I got a question for you I know this is not about Weber's my question is 87 Mazda b2200 passenger side water gate inside on the floor look like a swimming pool I look everywhere I don't find it how the water getting
Over on the passenger side fender well when we got rid of a lot of the unnecessary things we kept a few of the plugs that have a 12 volt power when the key is turned to the on position and that's what we used
I have a new electric pump installed close to the fuel tank as it supposed to and I’m getting the 3 psi with the fuel regulator but after a couple min pressure decreases. Does that has something to do with the carburetor? Be cause later the Pressure picks up again Thanks
Not many of us use a regulator. Your pump may be weak and your regulator redistricting too much. I have a video on my channel showing how we went from the electric pump to a tried and true mechanical pump. Works better. th-cam.com/video/iPkH8LKhhL4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_T3vBjysVrS58nzF
Hey Mitch great video, I have a question I can't find you on Facebook yet. I installed a weber 32/36 and it runs ok. Choke might be a little off But almost every time I go to shut the truck off it continues to run for a few seconds like 3 seconds. It didn't start doing it until I put the weber on the truck. Any Ideas? I could really use your help if possible. I don't know whats causing it? Thank you
I put a new 32/36 Weber carburetor on my 1989 Mazda b2200 and for some reason when I’m driving at 55 mph there’s a loud talking noise with power going down could it be possible I need to august the Weber ?
I have a few videos 9n here showing me getting 27 mpg. I get that on 5he hwy consistently regardless of season. Usually doing 70mph and ac on in summer.
What's better about the Weber vs the stock carb is a lot less bullshit to deal with and less bullshit that can go wrong. Easier to maintain, a little more hp and mpg at the same time.
After my mazda has been sitting for 4 yrs is it kinda normal for it to blow smoke when it starts up do you think once I get it tuned up it will calm down

Most of the 2600 are fuel injected. If you happen to have an 86-89 2600 it could be carbed, and there is a kit fo that.
Hey friends, if I remove the original carburetor from my 1989 Mazda B2200 and install a Weber, will it pass the California smog check? Thanks.
It's doubtful but you can ask in the forums and maybe someone in California has done that.

Hey mitch
I have an 86 b2000 and it smokes a lot in the morning and when i park it for couple hrs
Sounds like it could be the valve seals.
That bowl vent doesn't need to be open to atmosphere huh? I've always suspected mine to lose its fuel prime and in need of a check valve before the carb. Please advise.
The bowl is venting directly up through the top into the air filter area.

What head gasket would I use if I put a 2.2 head on a 2.0 block
You always use the head gasket that matches the block you were using
@@MazdaMitch okay, thank you very much does it matter which cam gear I use? I know the timing belt is different because the 2.2 has an extra pulley
Mitch I like the what your doing thanks like the music can you share the name of the group & song.
Which one? What time in the video?
MItch can you share the size of the bolts you used for the plates and where to buy them, thanks
It all comes in the box in the kit
And there's four bolts that you use from the old carburetor
Where did you connect the red cable too??

It's probably dieseling. Idled up to high. Really need a tach to see where you are. It's probably idled up too high.
Thank you
How bout a pressure regulator? I’ve ran webers for years and never ran one, any other thoughts on the matter?
If I only had a dollar every time I heard that question.... Does not need one. The mechanical fuel pump doesn't put out enough pressure. No worries
Where did you get the breather for you truck? Is that the actual name? I can't find d one when I search breather for mazda b2200 .
It's called a ramflo air filter for the Weber carb. I forgot where I got it from.
@MazdaMitch thank you . Looking for one now.
I put a new 32/36 Weber carburetor on my 1989 Mazda b2200 and for some reason when I’m driving at 55 mph there’s a loud talking noise with power going down could it be possible I need to august the Weber ?
It's probably something else and not the carb at all.
How is the mpg with the Weber? Is it better or not? Or what’s the different on oem vs Weber?
I have a few videos 9n here showing me getting 27 mpg. I get that on 5he hwy consistently regardless of season. Usually doing 70mph and ac on in summer.

Nice man thanks again for teaching us how to work on this trucks
We did all this but our 4.2L just keeps bogging down and back firing at full throttle and is very sluggish
Back firing could be related to engine timing most likely. Advance your timing
After my mazda has been sitting for 4 yrs is it kinda normal for it to blow smoke when it starts up do you think once I get it tuned up it will calm down
It may, but it could easily be the valve stem seals. When things are not used often the seals are not lubricated and break down
Is this the same truck you did the valve seals on?
Yep, we did the head gasket and cylinder head rebuild on this truck. This was after those videos
Did you learn anything from the video that came with your carb?
Nothing I didn't already know The video is up you can watch it here.
Can you send a new link for this carb
Should be in th video description
