Uhh why is this guy not a platinum subscribed youtuber? Well done on the video very honest and genuine. Thats truly what counts. I had this amp too in the past hit it with a clean boost and damn get whatever you want out of it... Thanks man
Yea. Pretty much what happens. I couldnt get away from it. I did just that and was like well i don’t really like either of those bands guitar sounds so I ditched the emgs
@@DrBunnee I can confirm this. Been playing a '14 LTD ex-360 with the emg 81/60 combo. Very easy to get load era tones with all the EQ and gain at 5. Volume at least 2.5. If the power section on this amp isn't pushed it sounds fizzy. If you want Justice tones turn the gain to about 8 and scoop the mid to 2. Bass and treb at about 5 each.
The room mic sounded killer. The cleans were real impressive. If a TubeScreamer is added, can it achieve those classic 80s hair metal tones? It had some solid lows for chuggahs and Hessian aggression tones. When you said it doesn't get those classic plexi tones is my concern. I really want one of these but if it doesn't get that 80s bright metal tone then I will pass on this one. Definitely some kick ass thrash tones. More chugs than a frat party after a bowl victory
The classic channel is loosely based on a JCM 800. You can most definitely get those 80s tones out of this amp. Unfortunately I didn't really showcase it.
@@TheChugMonkey thanks man! Have you tried the Bugera 1960 Infinium? I heard it was based off a Plexi but made more affordable. Haven't gotten to try it yet though
I had lots of hope for Bugera amps but from 04 to now i dont see them nailing it. They sound ok. Im very particular about sound. I like millions of sounds but as for my tone i like that modded marshall sound.
Overhall, great review! Just didn't like that mutch the "in the mix" part, cause i thought the guitar was way too loud, and the composition could be better. Sorry, its just my sincere oppinion. But liked a lot your atitude and id like to see more reviews from you! Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘🇵🇹🎄

Thanks man
the brightness of the amp makes it the perfect thrash and death metal amp in my opinon. Great demo!
Thanks for watching \m/
Agreed I wish I had an amp that was great for black metal
The more I hear this ampo the more I love it! plus the price on it is incredible! just got to decide on a 2x12 speaker cab.
Can consider Harley Benton G212 cab with V30s...I’m using this cab the Marshall DSL20HR and I love it :)
I paired mine with the jubilee 2x12 which comes with g12 vintage 16 ohms and its a killer tone
@@whoracle82 At the price nothing even comes close to that. I tried it at my friends house and ordered it the next day. HB is going places🤘
@@whoracle82 same here hooked mine to the harley benton cab cant beat it
Loved the sound of the room mic. Great job.
Harvester Of Tone... Yeah mate. This amp sounds killer in the room.
Great sound! Thanks for showing the dials, it really helped get the sound I’ve been looking for.
All your demos are great! Awesome page man!
Great video! Your Channel has a lot of potential.
Cool demo man. I picked up the 100HR about six months ago. Can’t beat it for the price.
I bought one also
Great tone! I'm definitely getting this as my first full tube amp! My guitar uses active EMG pickups, wonder how it will sound...
Scoop the mids and it'll be metallica, push the mids it'll be slayer
Yea. Pretty much what happens. I couldnt get away from it. I did just that and was like well i don’t really like either of those bands guitar sounds so I ditched the emgs
If you ever want to try something different from a Emg 81 or whatever try some Seymour Duncan "Invaders" they totally hang with Active EMGs

Thnx for great demo!
Cheers mate. Thanks for watching.
cool video dude !!
Thanks for watching
More chugging please
just got this amp, pairing with the 4x12 1960AV with G12s Celestion, such a great combo at this price !
what's ur amp settings for metal tone ?
This amp sounds amazing paired with the 2536 cab. Jubilee 2x12 g12 vintage 16ohm
They fixed the bias problems with early dsl coming out of Milton Keynes by 03, my dsl was built in 06 so no worries
Would it be loud enough for jams through a 4x12? Thanks for doing the vid I think it sounds great
Yeah. I'm running it though a 4x12 at 16ohm and it plenty loud.
Oops at 6:40. Had me thinking this may be a live performance until then. But good review otherwise.
Just subscribed great content great demo I’m going to nab one of these soon what pick ups are you using in your PRS?
I'm using Seymour Duncan full shred in the bridge and a stock neck pickup.

Sold and subscribed.
Great sound
I wish 1960's era Burton Cummings would demo and review all amps.
Classic metal sound :)
I'm going to Jam with you one day! You are me but you're in another country!
10/10 :)
Can u use it standalone without box ? Doesn't have speaker on it
You will need a cab or a load box.
How is the resonance knob respondin?
It's very subtle.
Does it go to 11?
I'm not a big fan of mine, sounds way to fizzy for me. I lover the cleans on it, but the gain is horrible!
You need to turn the volume up to at least 10 o'clock before the fizzyness cleans up.
It has to be played pretty loud.
If you have the combo, I highly recommend a speaker swap.
Celestion V-Type, G12M greenback or G12-65 are worth a look.
@@thomaschilds8781 eminence swamp thang is unfit---ng real!
Slap some jj tubes in the preamp and you have a much better amp
Whats wrong with it in the video? Sounds great

Thanks for the feedback. \m/
I think a guitarist demoing an amp might be biased and put the amp tone higher in the mix
20 sounds great, but grow some balls and get the dsl100, you will not be sorry
