    Haha! Great minds think alike! My cleaning video is exporting right now, will be up tonight! It really is a common question I get, really enjoyed watching your method, very similar with a few differences, but it all works. Smashed the like button!🤙

    Nice and thorough, great job Gary! I've seen and read so many cold clean up how-to's and that makes no sense to me. Glad to see someone else cleaning it warm and seasoning it. Cheers! I use those shop towels too!

    That’s exactly the way I clean mine👍
    Really impressed with the quality of your content and your editing. It’s obvious you devote the time it takes to produce a top notch video!
    May I ask what you use to edit?
    I’m using Cyberlink, which I really like, however, there seem to be lots more options for effects on whatever you’re using.
    Thanks 😊

      Well thanks Dave I really appreciate that because I don try to take the time to make the production value as good as possible. I am self taught as you can see if you look back at some of my old videos. I cringe every time I watch them lol. I use Filmora and paid I think $65 for the lifetime rights to it. Seems very user friendly to me and I'm not good at such things. filmora.wondershare.net/filmora-video-editor-bing.html?msclkid=a2801412cd111acf1cdd4ad74a3a62b8&Filmora_SS_pid(1107)_brand_Bing&.%20Brand-Filmora%201

    Great, I do the same exactly with my Blackstone 28”, but is it needed to heat it up again after coating with final thin layer of oil? I do this with the cast iron grates of my gas grill.

    Ever had any warping?
    I cleaned my 22” like that and it warped.
    Very frustrating
    I reckon cool water on a hot surface might do that but I don’t know how else to get it clean.

    • @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837
      @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837  ปีที่แล้ว

      Huh well I guess that makes sense but I’ve been lucky so far. These days I just use a damp paper towel and let it cool down a bit. Still steams but not much water.

    How do you clean before cooking?

    • @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837
      @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually clean it after each use and apply a thin layer of oil to prevent rust. Then I wipe off the thin layer of oil as the griddle warms up to remove any dust that may be present.

    What’s the difference of a paint scraper to a food grade scraper, I just use a paint scraper.

    • @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837
      @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike that’s a great question. Frankly I’m not sure. Someone told me that when I got my first griddle and I just went with it. I think it has to do with the quality of the metal. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

    • @mikebakker2906

    My issue when cooking eggs they always turn out black from the griddle. Any solution?

    • @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837
      @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow I’ve never had that happen. No idea what to say. I cook eggs on low so they don’t burn but that doesn’t seem like your problem. If wiping it clean with a dry rag (no cleaning solution) doesn’t solve it reach out to customer service. Or message Todd Toven on Facebook and see what he advises. He is pretty much the expert. Let me know what you find out.

      GT’s Barbeque and Cuisine yea it always seems dirty. I clean and wipe it every use . If I use a white cloth it will be black . Seems like it just gets way too greasy
