from ur review atleast the $10 price difference is worth every penny, since better sound for me(more open, better clarity), better transparency , and better battery are not an insignificant upgrade, it's an easy choice for me, if the price between those was split by atleast $20 then it could be a different story
Hi, thank you so much for this review it cleared all the queries I had and I actually bought the CMf buds pro a few days ago. They're really amazing especially as this is the first time I've bought something with so many features. (I had like 5$ random earbuds before) So thank you and I can recommend this to anyone who's stepping into the world of tws. These can make it clear what you can expect with premium quality if you do decide to go for something more 'expensive' in the future. Thank you!
I got the CMF buds for 30 dollars on prime day to replace my previous Jlab buds for a similar price and wow these are so much better I’m glad I bought them
@@Aatlar correct. On the base model there is only a hole for a lanyard. On the new pros, which I am reviewing right now, it acts as a full on controller for the buds. It's actually really cool.
first video ive seen from this channel, very informative and straight forward with enough personality to keep me interested. Subbed and ill be getting the CMF Buds and my gf is probably getting the pros🥞
Obtained the CMF Buds recently. It’s grey case scratches from just looking at it. Solid stuff, the price-performance ratio is definitely its selling point. Whoever is habituated to premium sound and or AirPods (3, Pro), will be dissappointed though (as to expect at around 40 bugs retail).
I actually like the sound profile better than on AirPods. (Less clean but more bass.) But that is certainly a personal preference and probably depends on the type of music you like to listen to. Good to know about the case scratching. My white case is still in pretty good shape so it looks like color definitely does matter when it comes to durability. Thanks for sharing!
I do not believe the Pros are available anymore. The Buds Pro 2 are now available. They are $20 more than the non pros and have a better transparency mode and you can control the buds with the case which is actually pretty cool. If those things don't really matter to you then I would just get the base model. I do have a full review of the Pro 2 if you want to check it out.
Yep. They would work just fine. FYI, a new version of the pros just came out, but I don't think you need to really worry about those either. The base model will have everything you need.
Here's a fun idea. Could the cmf buds charge on the cmf buds pro model case? Both of them look very similar so im just asking to fulfill my curiosities lol 😭
@@RandoTechInfo I've lost the charging case for cmf buds and I've only found the cmf buds pro charging case online . That's why i asked. Thank you so much
I've seen that the new pro 2 case has a dial that you can control the volume with, does the base model have that feature? I've looked at their website and it looks like you can turn the thing but it doesn't mention that it actually controls anything. Also, do the app settings only work while connected via the app? I use my earbuds with my pc a lot, and I'd like if I could still use the same touch controls.
The dial on the Buds Pro 2 does indeed control the volume (and other things as well). Unortunately on the base model the dial doesn't really do anything. Here is a link to my Buds Pro 2 review if you want to check it out. th-cam.com/video/YrvIemtcW3Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-ZbafjQh6LLaPp31 As for the app, I obviously can't make any promises because it could change based on the device you are using it with, but the settings from the app SHOULD persist if you use the buds with your computer. Hope that helps.
@@RandoTechInfo Thank you so much! I recently lost my earbuds and I've been trying to find a replacement. Right now I'm trying to decide between the CMF or the JVC gumys, and this review was very informative.
I got the base model on sale for $23. The pros were $50 at the time. These are clearly better sounding my mpow m30s, kz sks's, and moondrop space travels.
The lack of a single tap is infuriating though. You can't just pause the music to speak to someone, you HAVE to take them out. There's just no pause/unpause button, unless mine are faulty. The case wheel doesn't do anything either.
You are correct about the case wheel. You can pause the music to speak to people. The controls are fully customizable. You just have to use a double tap to pause and unpause your music. Definitely a pain.
@RandoTechInfo thank you! The app is great but wasn't giving me the option to change the double tap to pause/unpause without a factory reset for some reason. They were "like new" off Amazon though. Lol got it fixed though, thank you!
@@RandoTechInfo it should! I had the Liberty Air 2 Pros they r good! But wanted an upgrade... I currently have Creative's Outlier Pro.. they actually... SUCK BIG TIME! they aren't on the same as Soundcore really. Don't ever touch them... You will be disappointed haha.. ANC is non existent n the 6 mics nah!
The short answer is nothing. It's basically a glorified fidget spinner. However on the CMF Buds Pro 2, it gives you full control of the buds. Here is a link if you want to check out that review. th-cam.com/video/YrvIemtcW3Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-ZbafjQh6LLaPp31
I actually like the sound better. ANC and the touch controls are better on the Pods and transparency mode is a lot better on the Pods. The CMF Buds are obviously the better value pick but it really just comes down to what you want.
I feel like the base model has a little bit of extra power in the low end. I think the pros are a bit more balanced. I probably have a slight preference towards the base model, but don't get me wrong, there isn't a huge difference.
