I always think its interesting when people say show me proof or just have faith. There are faults in both arguments imo. With the 1st one it's like ok fair point you cant prove it but can you disprove it and with the faith one sometimes that's not enough for people... how are we supposed to believe in something we've never really seen proof of. I mean this whole comment as respectfully as possible, I mean no ill will towards anyone just stating my opinion.

I don't think anyone is wrong. Every man, woman, and child have a fundamental ideal of god. One god isn't going to be right for everyone and that is why it's up to each and every person to personalize something that feels right for you.

One thing that is a fact, hundreds of thousands of human beings, innocent human beings, have died as a result, one way or another, of religion. Every religion has different beliefs of what happens after death so its hard to tell which one is correct, but I believe that heaven was just created to help calm people during the turbulent past that their was a better future when they die then the one the live in. Respect what you believe though
I have nothing against people that believe in god many of my friends and family are highly religious and I did not make my decision to become atheist without heavy thought, but there is no proof of a higher being and if we live life believing that there is a better world sum where after we die that will no matter how u cut it make u not live the life you have to the fullest, I live each day helping everyone i can not because a book told me to but because i feel its the right thing to do. :)

@alexiskillmobile I remember watching the video blogs as they were making the album, and they were all scared (for lack of a better word) when time came to record Divisions (at the time they just said No. 3). It is a toss up for me between Divisions, Internal Cannon and Pangaea. I take it you have heard the reimagined version of Pangaea that was done by the singer from Thrill seeker? It is amazing, very different but it somehow keeps the feeling of the song.

I don't suppose you could find that interview for me, simply because I love reading their interviews.

The reason I have faith in it is it has been around longer than any religion Islam/Muslim started with Abraham having a concubine because his wife Sarah was baron and they had a son named Ishmael who started the generation of Muslims and then years later Mohammed started it. And also when you become a Christian you never turn back to anything else because you become one of God's children
@abmanc98 I just believe we live our own destiny and helping each other shouldn't be because a book told us to do something but instead out of the goodness of our kind. Every religion has different beliefs of what happens after death so its hard to tell which one is correct, but I believe that heaven was just created to help calm people during the turbulent past that their was a better future when they die then the one the live in. Respect what you believe though
I have nothing against people that believe in god many of my friends and family are highly religious and I did not make my decision to become atheist without heavy thought, but there is no proof of a higher being and if we live life believing that there is a better world sum where after we die that will no matter how u cut it make u not live the life you have to the fullest, I live each day helping everyone i can not because a book told me to but because i feel its the right thing to do. :)
@callofdutyguy247 Ya but have you considered the fact that the world was created and we were created without anything but just a big bang? And sometimes I can truly feel the Holy Spirit working inside me it is an amazing supernatural feeling! Sometimes I just know God is real! I don't want to sound really stuck up. But it must take a lot of faith to believe there is no one in control of what will happen to us when we die. When I think about there being no God I get chills. Jesus loves you!!
@alexiskillmobile I remember watching the video blogs as they were making the album, and they were all scared (for lack of a better word) when time came to record Divisions (at the time they just said No. 3). It is a toss up for me between Divisions, Internal Cannon and Pangaea. I take it you have heard the reimagined version of Pangaea that was done by the singer from Thrill seeker? It is amazing, very different but it somehow keeps the feeling of the song.

"yea are the salt and light of the world......" christianity is not a religion... its a relationship with God... with Jesus Christ who gave His life for our sins while we are so undeserving of His mercy. for the few that find this love, we are called to be the "salt and light of the world" which means that we take this love that we have found and share it with the world
@alexiskillmobile That's cool if they do share lyrical duties. I know that Dustin writes pretty much all of the actual music, but since Jake has come on, the lyrics have seemed to keep that common "personality", if you will. ABR is what has kept me happy with the world of metal, I am total fanboy. Which is why I criticize. Regardless of who wrote the lyrics, I still support my opinion. I don't suppose you could find that interview for me, simply because I love reading their interviews.
@im7onthe7th I am not sure that is true, as the lyrics in Thrill Seeker were waaaaay different. What is your source that the other members contribute to lyrics? But, to each his own. I am still disappointed with the lyrics, so I come off a bit harsh. The lyrics aren't bad, they just aren't at the same level. It is like he is putting it as bluntly as possible, like for a dissertation or something. Where is the subtlety exhibited in previous records? Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

@CahDe1 I asked Jake on Twitter who wrote the lyrics (for the Leveler album) and he said it was him, Matt, and Brent who contributed. Also, I saw in an interview that Matt wrote Meddler, and Brent wrote White Washed. That's all i know about lyrics :) awesome song writers
Ok, I know I am gonna come off being trollish, but Jake's lyrics are starting to suck. I love, love, love ABR. I love this song, the music, the vocals, but damn... come on. In a lot of songs on the album the lyrics are just dull and un-inventive. Still the best band out right now.
Well you'd have to look it up...I'm sure you would get mixed numbers, some would have a higher number, some may have lower numbers, but the scientific field is anything but divided on the subject of evolution vs. creationism. It's not even close.

faith like (most) Christians you won't need any source of knowledge or the ability to see or touch or anything of the like. We only need our faith to serve God no matter how little were doing for Him, He still appreciates it.
Nice try, that song is about how people try to change their beliefs and make them not christian...when it says "you" it's not talking about God. The "you" is referring to the haters that think that they can change their beliefs
I think ABR don't care what religion you are - even if you have no religion at all. We can all learn something from their words! This isn't the music of christians, this is the music of all people. Live and love :)
@abmanc98 why not, as a atheist i still love ABR music. seeing them jan 21st. I got a lot of respect for people who play as good as them and put a lot of effort into their song meanings whether religious or not.
I'm new to this band. That was absolutely powerful. And sweet, you can swear. It must suck to have such a limited education that your vocabulary extends to what you hear on TV. We're all impressed, we are.
