I vision a quilt maker that can no longer make quilts, possibly due to health, sitting and making these lovely yo-yos just to stay busy. You lucked up. ❤

My mother used to say”Lord, don’t ever take my hands or my eyesight”. She had to be busy with her hands and now I follow the same path.!!!! God Bless!!

Make YoYo Dolls with them. I just saw a video tutorial on TH-cam, "YoYo Doll." It doesn't look hard at all!

When ever in doubt.. Yo Yo Baby Quilt. You could sew them to a piece of fabric on the back to secure down by machine. I have seen a Yo Yo Quilt made this way.

Lisa that just might work. Would be so easy to do and you don’t have to quilt it afterwards. Thank you!!

Thank you for all the ideas. I’m not putting up a tree this year but i have a fireplace mantle that I think a yo-yo garland would be cute. Many things from your ideas, I could start for next Christmas. Blessings to you and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Sue I have given away some to my sewing friends and they used some of them on Christmas stockings that we make for the Ronald McDonald House.

You could make hair clips, Bible cases, add them to the bottom of a lamp shade, make a garland, or hang them in rows of 5 or 6 from an embroidery hoop to make a room decor. They would make place mats, pillow cases, bags or purses. You could line your microwave floor with them. Tons of fun. I would like to know what you have done with them so far!?

Tried to send a picture but I couldn’t.. made a black and white with some red ones on a canvas board. About a 7 x 10”. Put a black and red fabric ribbon in the top corner. Doesn’t sound like much but it turned out real cute. Just used fabric glue to attach. Well, a long letter. Sorry about that LOL

Jacqueline, that's a wonderful find! I'm afraid I'm no help with yoyo ideas, but I love vintage needlework. I have a few unfinished quilt pieces that my mother made, including yoyos. Sometimes I get the boxes of cut fabric strips out and continue sewing them as she started.
It's fun finding things like your yoyos, but also kind of sad that family didn't treasure them (although there may be no family left).
I have very old sewing machines and I sometimes wonder where they were and who sewed on them over the past 100+ years. And what did they sew?
    Love your videos.

I have the same thoughts as you about family history and why the family doesn’t treasure some things of their loved ones. It breaks my heart sometimes when I go to estate sales and see beautiful quilts that the family didn’t want!!.

You can make badges or name tags by attaching them to a ribbon

Rhonda I made ornaments for Mother’s Day. Made 11 of them using 7 for each one. So I was able to use 77 of them. Here is my email address jacklynnikkel1945@att.net.
