How to fix a P0108 Code: Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure High
The MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor measures engine manifold pressure.
The BARO (Barometric Pressure) sensor measures atmospheric pressure.
The MAP sensor and BARO sensors are usually combined into a single sensor.
Some vehicles do not use a MAP sensor but use a Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor, while some vehicles have a MAF and MAP sensor.
Possible Causes of a P0108 Code:
Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP/BARO) Sensor
Wiring (Open / Short)
Vacuum Leak / Intake Air Leak
Dirty Throttle Body
Clogged Intake, such as a dirty air filter
Clogged Exhaust, such as bad catalytic converter
