    Sprout here. Everytime I was about to get into a new dungeon or trial, I always go back to your channel and see if you've already done a guide for it.
    Useful stuff, even for healer mains like me who doesn't like surprises in dungeons XD Kudos!

    im a sprout whos only played for 5-ish months, only unlocking drk/tank for the *plot*, and im desperate to the point that im grinding dungeons even though im not too confident in my tanking. your videos help me immensely through my extreme dungeon tankxiety. thank you so much!!!

      Glad I can be of assistance. Stick with it and your confidence will slowly grow. Your definitely picking the more difficult path going DRK but that may change after their future rework. Hope you enjoy the game

      It's due to level sync and stat sync since I'm a max level character running older content. The game doesn't reduce my stats as much as it should to be the same as if I was the correct level for the dungeon.

      @@DemonSlayerGaming1 but does the game scale mob/boss dmg according to your gear as well ? I mean, is their dmg output percent based or fixed numbers ?Because otherwise, we in lower gear that have about half your HP, should not be able to do those pulls. (I thought you had higher stats because it was recorded before some stat squish in later expansions, if that`s a thing in FFXIV).

    • @DemonSlayerGaming1
      @DemonSlayerGaming1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did the same pulls at the appropriate level when I was leveling. I can't say for certain how the damage is calculated but I your rotating your cooldown appropriately for the pulls you should be fine. In general trash mobs do much more damage than bosses do because of the sheer volume of attacks your taking so just make sure your using your cooldown like you should and not standing in aoes and you shouldnt have that hard of a problem.

      @@DemonSlayerGaming1 did the dungeon with 17k HP and pulled same groups as you. Went fine, which leads me to believe that damage taken is percent based rather than fixed values.
      Thank you for all these guides. They help a lot for us new players.

    ngl i didn't know you could reach doma castle and still play like that dragoon did, like at least he should've picked up what a stacking marker is before reaching this

    • @DemonSlayerGaming1
      @DemonSlayerGaming1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would totally agree with you. In general once you have seen a mechanic once or twice then you should know what it will look like from then on since there isnt a whole lot of variation throughout the game.

    1:59 Any idea what the bard was hit with? I just came back here to find a safe positioning as Sage to get hit as little as possible by Collosseus and the gunship, since I need to be relatively close to the enemies for AOE.

    • @DemonSlayerGaming1
      @DemonSlayerGaming1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see the bard get hit at 2:01. It's by Exaust. It is an AOE the Colossus does on the tank that has a small aoe. There is no marker for it. In general just always try to avoid standing near the tank because every dungeon has moves like this at some point in it.

    If you have the Stormblood artifact armor and accessories crafted for levels 69 and 70, is it worth taking the risk and pulling everything between the first and second bosses? In this scenario, after the first boss all mitigations except perhaps the invulnerability would be refreshed. If it is viable to do this, would it be better to use Hallowed Ground as a paladin on the dangerous wall-to-wall pull before the second boss, or the one after the first boss, in the turret area?
    Say during the intense pulls, a paladin maybe started off with Sentinel, Arm's Length, and Reprisal, and then began using Bulwark, Rampart, and Divine Veil as the backup once the original mitigations started fading.

      @DemonSlayerGaming1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally wouldn't recommend during a wall to wall pull for that area no matter your gear or class. Even with all your mitigation available due to the length of the area you have to pull through along with some aoes your healer may need to move out of it isn't a guarantee. Unless you verify with the healer and they are OK with it I would just recommend pulling past the first group of cannons and then past the second group after. It also depends heavily on your dps as some classes can put out way more aoe damage then others making large pulls easier. Also when using mitigation you usually want to start with the shortest cooldowns, then your longest, then either your shortest should be almost back up again or you mix in one's that have a medium cooldown range. Usually never want to stack more then 2 cooldowns at a time as your mitigating to much at that point and may leave yourself vulnerable to running out of all your mitigating before the enemy dies.

      @DemonSlayerGaming1 Alright, thanks for the information. I usually play monk, but have been trying to work on tanking some as well.
      I came across your guides while doing the very end of Heavensward and have found them extremely useful.
