Ronny Chieng is incredibly gifted. For a guy so young to have found his voice and his rhythm. I’m a retired musician who played in casinos in Atlantic City accompanying some of the old school comedians, Bob Newhart, Angel Perez, John Pinnette, Cathy Ladman, etc. We musicians would go backstage and watch the comedians perform and study them. Ronny says that Stand-Up is not the highest form of personal expression. Most of the musicians I know would disagree. It is definitely the scariest. Ronny’s timing along with his subtle anger is brilliant

The reason is most of the Asian countries suffered in the last few hundred years, so parents want their kids to have more opportunities. You will notice that the more developed countries, parents usually let their kids do whatever they want, ofc not on absolute forms, but comparatively, they are more open with multiple choices.
@@Jerpavoo not necessarily, u also have to take the resources into consideration, only East Asia is considered successful, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand,Mynamar are not, let alone Southern Asia or other parts. It has nothing to do with race, it is all about the geography
In ' more developed countries' governments take care of their citizens more than less developed countries..eg medical, basic education, pension, child care even shelter...I have to earn n make reserves for these things and a bit more if my child decided to be a 'college certified photographer' ... Getting good education is about survival, not getting rich...
I for one would love to witness an alternate history where Ronny Chieng got top grades in law school and staged... in the courtroom. That'd be hell of a show.

alot of countries have suffered too yet they are still third world countries. Asians are just a smarter breed (comparatively)
