Strangely, I never knew The Empire Man or these ads until an "800" version of them started airing on stations in the Toledo, OH area since the start of the century. I think by the 1990's WGN's superstation feed was no longer showing local Chicago ads on at all so I missed out plenty on these.

They still sound bite his voice in the newer commercials when you hear "TO-DAY" at the very end. I think the last Empire commercial I remember seeing that he did, they were spoofing the x-mas song "Jingle Bells". I loved the corny-yet-zany comedic aspect of those commercials, and it's sad that the quality of them isn't there anymore since his passing. May he rest in peace, and I thank him for all the laughs.

I was hired PT by Empire for something to do today told my to my surprise he just sang the jingle, then said cool dad grow a mustache.
