This is excellent and very well made. Good job. In future models, you may consider installing a rubber pulse dampening bladder inside the pressure vessel. This will prevent atmospheric air saturation into the water and the tank becoming water logged, which can lead to a drop in operating pressure over time and increase system wear. You might try a section of truck tire inner tube with one end sealed and the other end fastened at the bolts, between the base plate and gaskets. At the top the pressure vessel, you could glue in a tire valve stem to add pressure as needed. It should always be a minimum of 2 psi below your operating lift pressure. This should reduce the amount of maintenance you will need to conduct on the system, stabilize the flow, reduce cavitation within the system, reduce wear on the piping, and maintain more steady pressure throughout system operation. An output lift of 168 meters, using 1 to 7 ratio would suggest an input head of 24 meters, which may not always be available. I wonder if this ratio is a given for a ram pump or if it could be adjusted to deliver less water to a higher elevation. ... or in our situation, deliver more water to a less high field for irrigation where the volume of water for the cost is important. Cost = initial installation, operation and maintenance.

Sebab harus setara dg (tekanan) air yg masuk. Untuk embuat tekanan kita bisa masukan tabung besar dan tinggi. Didalamnya (bagian bawah) dilobangi utk pipa. Maka air yg masuk mempunyai tekanan karena di ruang tabung kosong tanpa air. Disitu kita buat pimpa hydram nya. Yg jadi masalah hidram harus ada pembuangan air untuk mengatur katup klepnya. Perlu di ingat,air yg memancar(bertekanan) hanya sebatas permukaan air sumur. Jika pipanya kecil maka akan memberi tekanan lebih paling tinggi 10-20 cm. Sedangkan utk terus memberi tekanan air yg masuk ke tabung harus dibawah permukaan air sumur.PR nya,bagai mana membuang air dari katup pompa. Silakan yg punya solusi. Teorinya. Air dari sungai harus lebih tinggi -/+ 3 m. Yang digunakan adalah pipa. Dengan panjangnya pipa(mungkin) akan memberi tekanan yg lebih dibanding yg pendek. Tapi jika pipanya kecil tekanannya akan rendah juga. Untuk percobaan. Sediakan air se ember(bekas cat tembok besar). Masukan tabung lebih kecil/se ukuran cat tembok 5 kg. Disambung kira kira 3 buah. Lobangi samping bawah/bawah nya lalu pakai pipa. Lihat air yg memancar. Pertama akan melebihi permukaan air sumur,kemudian akan setara dg permukaan air sumur. Jika pipa tsb tingginya setengah dari permukaan air sumur maka dia akan memancar setinggi permukaan air sumur. Jika pompa tsb dibuat maka akan mendapatkan tekanan utk menggerakan katup. Yang jadi masalah pembuangan air dari katup tsb.

Lebih baik tak perlu tutup kalau sudah penuh… alirkan ke tempat lain… Pompa ini sudah berumur 1.5 tahun… karet packing klep harus ganti dpm 3 bln sekali..

Something out of places? 1) Pressure reading didn’t surge up as a real pump does, when valve change from open to close. 2) gush of water should start immediately right after valve state changed from close to open. There was no gush for one second after valve just opened. This indicate that we have a fake pump manually operated to mimic operation of a real one.

Coba bikin tekhnologi pompa tenaga ombak bagaimana ombak ketika menabrak tebing air bisa naik lebih tinggi dari tebing tersebut. Atau tenaga kembang kempisnya seperti plastik di tekan pakai tangan( wenyed) sehingga air akan muncrat lebih tinggi

A Couple of suggestions - Why not place your pump below water level then it is much quieter and less seen. Also lay your pressure vessel sideways down stream then it won't get destroyed in the first flood. Otherwise great performance you can be very proud of it.

Sebenarnya bukannya free energi..... pompa ini tetap menggunakan energi. Energi yg di ambil dari tekanan aliran alor yg mendorong valve buang/limbah yd daoat menciptakan tekanan dan keluar dari pipa output.
How on earth do you change 168 metres rise in hight into Water Pressure????????? It takes many times the flow of water (volume) flowing to waste to extract enough energy to raise very little water (volume) up the 168 metres (distance) through the small pipe. You could probably get enough to drink and maybe have a wash every 24 hours.
@@rebeccadonaldson1464 I built something very similar, it was only small scale but I was pumping 1 litre per minute to a height of 100 metres. Does not sound like a lot but that is 1440 litres per day. Enough to supply a family and water a small garden. As for generating electricity you would do far better to generate directly than pumping to storage.

And this is cali so there is no way im allowed to dam the creek. Ive been thinking of doing a pumped storage microhydro with a pelton wheel.

Adun. Coba rakit pakai pipa besi di las dan di sambung dengan elbow las diameter 5 inchi. Fleng bikin dari plat 8mm .kalau klepnya sudah bagus seperti Abang bikin. Terimoeng geunaseh.
Saya rasa anda harus meng upgrade unit ram pump anda menggunakan pipa & tabung metal. Tekanan untuk mengalirkan air ke ketinggian tersebut pasti sangat tinggi. saya khatir pecah.

Bagaimana dengan maintenance pompanya pak? Adakah jangka waktu tertentu? Dan juga bagaimana jika pompa kemasukan pasir, batu, ikan, dll...apakah akan menghambat kerja pompa?
Untuk maintenance hanyq ganti kalet klep buang sebab aus, dan kendala lain nasuk pasir dan sampah sungai… caranya buka klep buang sehingga pasir dan batu keluar bersama arus

Karena dgn 1 klep saja sudah kencang airnya… maklum irit biaya, kalau pakai pipa out 3/4 lebih kuat tekanan ke dlm tabung, kadi lebih kecil pipa out lebih baik untuk kecepatan dorongan… apalagi di ketinggian 160 mtr…

Sy mau bikin system RAS dgn pompa ini jd air bisa disirkulasi...tambah2 dikit saja pasti perlu.

Teorinya. Air dari sungai harus lebih tinggi -/+ 3 m. Yang digunakan adalah pipa. Dengan panjangnya pipa(mungkin) akan memberi tekanan yg lebih dibanding yg pendek. Tapi jika pipanya kecil tekanannya akan rendah juga.
Untuk percobaan. Sediakan air se ember(bekas cat tembok besar). Masukan tabung lebih kecil/se ukuran cat tembok 5 kg. Disambung kira kira 3 buah. Lobangi samping bawah/bawah nya lalu pakai pipa. Lihat air yg memancar. Pertama akan melebihi permukaan air sumur,kemudian akan setara dg permukaan air sumur. Jika pipa tsb tingginya setengah dari permukaan air sumur maka dia akan memancar setinggi permukaan air sumur. Jika pompa tsb dibuat maka akan mendapatkan tekanan utk menggerakan katup. Yang jadi masalah pembuangan air dari katup tsb.

A Couple of suggestions - Why not place your pump below water level then it is much quieter and less seen.
Also lay your pressure vessel sideways down stream then it won't get destroyed in the first flood.
Otherwise great performance you can be very proud of it.

The idea is good but the installation of the pipes is eseally distroy by the flood.

It takes many times the flow of water (volume) flowing to waste to extract enough energy to raise very little water (volume) up the 168 metres (distance) through the small pipe.
You could probably get enough to drink and maybe have a wash every 24 hours.
@@rebeccadonaldson1464 I built something very similar, it was only small scale but I was pumping 1 litre per minute to a height of 100 metres. Does not sound like a lot but that is 1440 litres per day. Enough to supply a family and water a small garden.
As for generating electricity you would do far better to generate directly than pumping to storage.

Coba rakit pakai pipa besi di las dan di sambung dengan elbow las diameter 5 inchi. Fleng bikin dari plat 8mm .kalau klepnya sudah bagus seperti Abang bikin.
