i really hope they don't go with "this is actually a players world" approach, there's so much potential for an really cool fantasy story they could make. in my opinion the 4th wall break would just be kind of lame, but that just my opinion

I have a theory regarding Zone 4. Witnessing Varyn's corruption increase as he completely took over Zone 6, Gaia became incredibly worried. She knew he would target Zone 4 next, as it was then filled with lush greenery and life - a perfect place to expand the void. Little did he know this time he wouldn't face helpless creatures or puny resistance, but Gaia herself. They exchanged a few words, and then the battle began - a battle that shook the very world of Orbis. Varyn knew he was no match for Gaia, but he was also aware that Gaia wouldn't use her full power, as it would destroy the entire zone(which is what he wanted since that would make the process of corruption easier for him). The battle continued; Varyn mocked Gaia, boasting about destroying countless worlds and claiming Orbis would meet the same fate. Gaia took this as a threat and unleashed the fire element, attacking Varyn. Varyn countered with the void, and a beam struggle ensued. The void, with its nature of corrupting the surrounding, clashed with the fire element. The collision resulted in a massive explosion. The fire released first, engulfing everything on the surface, killing all life and turning the greenery to ashes. Following this, the void corrupted the entire surface in the presence of fire, transforming it into a fiery wasteland. Which is basically this, i'm laughing because its the trashiest, most done to death genre, but i love it so i'm just surprised Hytale has a similar plot.
I feel like the idea that varyn and Gaia are just two other players makes the story of the game non-serious. I think the world of hytale is not directly connected to real life in a fourth wall breaking way, rather that avatars exist in that world as their own creatures that we extra use to express ourselves in the world of hytale. Making players themselves actually apart of the main lore would be kind of lame and it would make the dispute between gaia and varyn and the fate of orbis unimportant

If I wanted Real Life lore, I would just play Real Life instead of Hytale. There's so much potential for in world lore (like Dovahfruit's theory) that just loses a lot of its punch when you think of the world purely as a game being played by you and others. However once Varyn Came to Gaia's Solar system he became jealous and came to the decision to Steal Gaia's Home numdrassl and the surrounding planets. There was a long and physically demanding fight between the two Cosmic Beings. The Fight ended with a 'stalemate' With Gaia using the last of her energy binding Varyn to ' Unknown' While her bodys natrual defence system kicked in and frozen her body before her demise. Her death Isnt certain but Varyn is surly alive Waiting for the seal to wear off so he can take over Gaia's Solar system once and for all. Will Varyn's plan Successfully takeoff soon? I have a theory regarding Zone 4.
