Jane & Lisbon actions spoke loudly about their true feelings felt also they indirectly told each other on numerous occasions without actually saying the three words that they loved each other. The problem was neither one of them could read between the lines of what they were really saying . Also they used safe words and terms like we're friends/family/ partners to describe their relationship which had long since gone way beyond those terms. He knew it but tried to down play it and she was in denial .
