You’re awesome. I recently got a bunch of my original MOTU figures back. I sold them to a friend of my mother’s son when I was a teenager. I regret selling or losing any of my toys.
If you haven’t discovered the 200x line yet I would recommend taking a look. Design wise the characters never looked better than 200x. Skelator and Trap Jaw are the notable stand outs in the line.
Cool video for sure! It's funny that I never thought of that as hair on the back of man-at-arms until you mentioned it. Thought he just had a fancy helmet with an elastic band or something. 😅 Do i see some LEGO back there? Have you seen the MEGA masters of the universe line? Snake mountain is a fun build for sure. Hoping they release the final two eternia towers soon on mattel creations. 😍
lol that’s hilarious! I think it’s always fun when I notice something from someone else pointing it out. Yes, I have a lot of Lego 😄. I have some of the motu mega construx figures, but I haven’t gotten any actual sets yet lol.
I love your enthusiasm for MOTU! My vintage figures have long been in storage, but after watching your video, I want to dig them all out! Vintage Whiplash definitely has an edge over Origins! Fun story I feel you might appreciate. Back in the late 80s/early 90s, there was a store called Sears Surplus, which was a Sears outlet store. The one closest to me randomly had a Whiplash figure affixed to the ceiling, hanging upside down. Some prankster actually got up in a ladder tall enough to reach the ceiling and stuck it up there. Every time I went with my mom, I would always look for it!
Awesome video! That’s a great vintage MOTU collection. I’m currently trying to complete my vintage collection. I hope to make a video like yours for my channel soon.
@@OneManToyShow definitely keep an eye on things online, sometimes people sell things low 🤣 my collection will also never be complete, because there are simply some characters I just do not like.
@@collegetoycollectorYes, I agree that there are some I dislike. For instance, I refuse to get any of the movie figures because I personally never liked the movie.
It’s a shame the that Texas tornado Kerry von Erich never made it the masters of the wwe universe line as they could given him a modern version of cyclones gimmick . Sorry spamming you on that .
Started collecting the motu origins line in 2020 after watching a video of the SDCC prince Adam and He-man origins pack, thought they looked neat, so I bought he-man and Skeletor when the line released at Walmart.
Awesome collection of vintage MOTU figures. It’s a big nostalgia hit for me and brings me back to my childhood playing with all those figures. You’re obviously too young to have had these figures as a child, so I’m curious what got you into MOTU?
That’s some pretty good condition vintage motu! I totally agree that back in the day the build quality & paint is far superior than today stuff. But I’m content with the origins line as that’s as close to a vintage I’ll get without blowing too too much mullah. How did you got started or learned of the motu?
Awesome toys, Yoshi. This is the best toy line ever. I still have most of my collection. And still in good shape too 👍 What are your thoughts on the Princess of Power line? Is it something you'd consider collecting 🤔 Much love ❤️ and good journey 🤗
Thanks for watching! Yes, MOTU is the best toy line ever 😄 I think Princess of Power is cool, I have actually gotten to see a near complete set of excellent condition figures at a friend’s store. I’m not sure if I will be collecting them at the moment, but maybe in the future.
You bring a refreshing perspective. Not only are you 20 years younger, with one fewer Y chromosome than the typical person talking about He-Man toys on TH-cam, but even more rare is that you exhibit a great knowledge of toy manufacturing and its associated costs, which are shockingly high.
Haha thank you! I’m glad you find my perspective interesting. If toy manufacturing/ cost estimation is a topic that would be of interest to have a video series on, I would be happy to. Stay tuned for more toy videos in the future!

Thanks for watching! It’s the only vendor experience I’ve had that was weird. At the time, he was kinda talking down to another woman who said she collected motu, and I was just showing my partner all the figures when he came my way. I believe someone has told me that Grizzlor’s is green lol, I have just about all of them complete, so his must’ve been placed in the wrong accessory bag 😆
My daughter (Hermione, whose channel this really is) has always been a MOTU fan, and it burns me up when guys gate-keep like that. They forget that the brand has a looong history of female fans!
30 minutes of figures and no more than $40 was spent on any of them? Seems like you've come across a lot of great deals! Do they typically go for under 40 or did you have to patiently wait for a good deal to come up for most of em?
There are a lot of common figures that you can get for $10-20. Figures that are incomplete and/or in bad condition are not worth much at all. Just about every vintage figure I have is complete, and in good condition. The more uncommon figures, as well as variations of a common character will go for more due to scarcity. Figures like “half-boot Skeletor“ is a variation of the original 1982 Skeletor; it is worth more because it was one of the first releases before they started painting both sides of his boots. Figures like “Clamp Champ” and “Ninjor” were released towards to tail-end of the line, meaning fewer were produced entirely, and kids who grew out of the line by that time didn’t own them either. Clamp Champ’s accessory is worth about the same amount of money as the figure itself. I see him go for $115-$150 at toy shows, and I got both him and the accessory for $40?! Another example of good condition vs bad would be “Webstor”, you can get one in not-working condition for like $15 maybe, but if his original pulley system is in tact, he’ll go for more. I think I paid $30 for him in a lot that I bargained for. I do a lot of “stalking” online for good deals on rarer figures. I don’t see myself ever paying full value for one at a convention. Sorry that was long answer 🤣 you get me talking about motu, and I won’t shut up.
@@collegetoycollector all good 🤣. Yeah, stalking for cheap prices can be extremely tricky and requires a lot of patience, but it's worth it all once the thing you're looking for eventually comes up. For example there is this line of MarioKart 64 remote control cars that when mint in the box, can go for about $50-$120. I did a little bit of waiting and was able to snatch up a mint-in-box Donkey Kong RC for like 20something on Mercari. It's always a win when people selling the item aren't really aware of it's worth so you're able to get a good price on it
