This video is amazing. Can you make one with acrylic? Or even a series. Words can not explain how important and needed your educational videos are. This is so wonderful thank you.❤❤❤
Gosh your so amazing! You are super thorough and clear with your teaching! What grit is the sanding band ? Thanks ❤ Is there a similar video showing removal ?
We can share a bit, but it's probably not the ideal set up for working on clients. We have our station set up for filming. This is the desk we use. There are two drawers. In one we have all our acrylic powders, files, practice hand tips and liquid art. In the other we have all our hard gel, both pots and precision applicators, and our fiber gel. Both drawers also have nail forms in them. www.ikea.com/us/en/p/micke-desk-white-90214308/ We also have this set of drawers. The top drawer has our mission control gel paints, top coats and bases, extra e-file bits, nail glue, protein bond and pens/markers. Drawers 2-4 have all our glitters. The last 2 have some of our slickpour collection. www.ikea.com/us/en/p/alex-drawer-unit-on-casters-white-80485423/
Am I the only one who gets muscle cramps/charley horse in their fingers/hands with all the contortion positions you have to do to file your own nails? Fun stuff!!! Grrrrr
It's really common to get those muscle cramps since your hands are not normally in these positions. Make sure to loosen your grip and stretch or shake out your hands as you work.
Thank you Karen! Would anyone be able to point out the differences between synergy and fiber gel? i love that tube but fiber gel only comes in the bottle and jar. TIA!
Synergy gel is our hard gel line. Gel (Hard Gel) is an oligomer. It's like a pre-mixed product, without the smell that acrylic has. You need a UV light to initiate that chain reaction to create a cure. It cures way faster than acrylic does. It's softer to file. Hard gel cannot be soaked off with acetone and can only be filed off to remove. Fiber gel is a soft gel, meaning it can be soaked off with acetone for removal. It is also a little thicker than other soft gels, such as gel polish, so you can build an active length extension with it, but any longer and you would need to switch to hard gel.
It does, but for removing bulk on acrylic, we would recommend the Safety Bit- Coarse as this will take down product quicker and easier than the Medium.
The pink is ManiQ Color Sheer Pink 101 over Synergy gel Concealer Pink. The glitter on the rest of the nails was a limited edition glitter called Silent Type. A close combination that would be currently available is Search Mode, Empty Apartment and Wedding Rumors.
I have a question that really doesn’t have anything to do with this subject. If you use protein bond on the natural nails before using regular polish will it help from chipping and last longer? No gel or acrylic just natural nails and regular polish. I’m just curious
I'm having trouble with the sculpting gel process. The issue is the form. Once it's on, it's like I sweat or clammy hands. Is that normal. Otherwise I use tips
This can be a challenge for some people. We would recommend prepping the nails, cleanse the skin around the nails with Swipe and then apply 1-2 forms at a time. Sculpt the extension on these nails and then cleanse the next 1-2, apply the form and sculpt. Once you have built out the free edge and cured, you can remove the forms. This will usually give you enough time to sculpt the free edge before the skin gets sweaty again.
Karen you're such a great teacher thank you! 💓

We use a 150 grit zebra sanding band and have many great videos on removing different kinds of product.
Could you please share your workstation setup? What you keep handy, what and where supplies are stored?

Does the Safety bit medium also work ok on acrylic?
It does, but for removing bulk on acrylic, we would recommend the Safety Bit- Coarse as this will take down product quicker and easier than the Medium.
Which gel polishes are you wearing? 😍

Yes, Protein Bond can help with adhesion of YN Polish
What application is better for someone that has to do hand washing a lot 🤔… gel or acrylic
We would recommend a hard gel enhancement as this would be non porous and can hold up better in water.
@@youngnailsinc Thank you 🙏, I’m going to get started on my nails 💅🏼 now 👍😊, wish me luck 🍀
