    I watchd the insurrection too and waited imminently to see Natl Guard called in to thump heads. Didn't happen, so I guessed DJT told them to stand down, and knew we were in deep trouble saddled w/a blossoming despot in charge of our nation. Many thanx to Milley.

    • @greggalexander8216
      @greggalexander8216 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I want you to know that I also am and have been deeply disturbed about Trump’s mental state. You hear Costas say that Trump says his people want him to fight, to get the presidency back. Trump never says it is what HE wants but that is exactly what he wants. You are not going to find anytime when Trump apologizes or admits to a loss. THIS is a common symptom of his mental disorder. We should all be deeply, deeply troubled by this. Hundreds of psychiatrists and psychologists signed a public letter stating they had deep concerns about his mental capacity and state. Did anyone do anything about it? I haven’t seen or heard anything about this since it was released. Dear God, what happens if he is re-elected or tries to overthrow the government? The US could collapse and the world will fall into unforeseen chaos. No one seems to take it seriously.

      @@greggalexander8216 we NEED the Senate to get rid of the filibuster and pass the John Lewis Act - securing voting rights is CRITICAL as well as getting people to recognize the danger not just to the country but to themselves (especially white middle and lower class rural voters who have bought into the propaganda) if republicans get control of Congress.
      The coup is still ongoing and it's an insidious cancer that may not be spreading through the body politic at the rate it was but it is poisoning it nonetheless. If we don't get rid of the filibuster and pass the bills that 60-70% of Americans support, people will be less motivated than ever to stand in line for 5+ hours to vote again

    • @LukeMcGuireoides
      @LukeMcGuireoides 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So right. Ending the filibuster shouldve been the FIRST thing the dems accomplished.
      Also, not enough is being done to combat this cancer. We're being let down by Congress, the justice department, the media giants and corporate America in general. It's truly a disgusting dangerous destructive time in US history.

The GOP are unscrupulous craven cowards with a single ounce of integrity and American conservatives are perhaps the most sheepish and cultish party that the US has ever seen. If you have literally been made sick from what has been taking place over the past five years you havent been paying attention.

IMO - we need someone, from either the Democrat party or Republican party, who is a moderate. Otherwise large swaths of the population will continue to feel disenfranchised. As a result the polarizing extremism will tear our great country apart.

      They only got the whole story well after the 2nd impeachment. They had some of it but how the whole story was knitted together only after it was all over. Don't forget, these authors had to fact check everything before they could say or print anything. And with a family as screwed up as the Trumps and with their penchant for suing for any and all reasons, their hesitation is understandable. If Trump had launched a lawsuit to stop publication it would still be in court and we wouldn't know half of this stuff. So I wouldn't be too harsh on them. After all, how long did it take for any of those extremely close to the Trump admin to say anything negative about Trump at all. The people who surrounded Trump, those who knew what Trump was doing and said nothing until it was too late, it's those people that deserve to have the world crash in on them. Meadows and the whole filthy inner circle deserve to spend the rest of eternity in a dark, dank prison cell.
