Dear God, Please explain to me.
I can listen to multiple songs from actual artists for hours, and feel pretty unaffected. Meanwhile. A robotic anime girl voice, with lyrics made by some random person hits me deeper and connects/relates to me SO much more?. I need Jesus.
I think Miku makes it so there are fewer steps between you and the artist. Any vocalist is going to naturally interject their own interpretation and feelings into the song. With Miku, her vocals are crafted directly by the composer.
