Because Crash 3 is by far the easiest to 100% (the extra moves make some level/enemies trivial, especially the run boost). So like usual he went for the path of least effort like the lazy pig he is.

well in the original you had to do a completionist run to get the real ending. But they made it so you only needed to have at least half the gems and relics in the remake.

For those less versed on Crash 3: it doesn't "drop his input" when he wants to double jump, he just didn't pay attention nor practice it at all when he beat Dingodile (nor the death tornado spin). Both can only be activated at the very top of your jump, you can also double to tornado spin if you slide into a jump, which is the tool to have a shot at the glorious, glorious platinum relic. So it doesn't drop the input, he just doesn't realize it. To be fair, it's not something easy to realize, you normally won't your first time through unless you actively look into the moves and their active roll. 3:04:30 to prevent things like these from happening, what we do is use the checkpoint next to the fan and ignore the one where he respawns here *until* we are done in the first section. Once again, it saves time, energy and frustration.
I was there the day he was streaming this. It was my first time on his twitch so I figured I could have fun and take the piss out of him. Of course his mods got super pissy that I was making fun of him and banned me, all because I said "Good thing Phil is playing a single player game to get his mind off his daughter moving out"

That wireless overflow excuse is pure bullshit. Only his phone uses bluetooth and that's only if it's enabled (which you only enable if you have a wireless speaker or headset). Everything else transmits on different "channels" and wouldn't cause lag or dropped inputs. It's probably really due to Phil hitting buttons a half-second too late or his controller abuse.

it does make it wired. phil just sucks at platforming and fails to realize the double jump only works at the peak of his regular jump. he’s not dropping inputs, he just sucks at double jumping
That wireless overflow excuse is pure bullshit. Only his phone uses bluetooth and that's only if it's enabled (which you only enable if you have a wireless speaker or headset). Everything else transmits on different "channels" and wouldn't cause lag or dropped inputs. It's probably really due to Phil hitting buttons a half-second too late or his controller abuse.
