Sorry, its still a ZAPPITI NEO Glorified. I still have my Zappiti NEO on a shelf because I can no longer use it. I purchased a Zidoo Z2600 which is better.
Thank you for your comment. This unit is much faster than the neo. it has 2.1 hdmi, upscaling, and several more features than your neo does not have . Not that the neo is a bad product. Btw. You can download the R-volution app and install it on your neo. It is a paid service of $50.00 per year but well worth it. The zidoo is also a good product
The only thing I'm interested in about this player is IF its MULTIREGION both on Blu Rays and DVD? They conveniently obmit that info even in the user manual. No player can be called "universal" unless it plays ALL the discs in the world. Which imo should include HD DVD and DVD AUDIO too, but I can forgive that IF its really Multiregion.
I have not experienced it getting hot. It can be audible at times as the hard drive is spinning during playback. . If you are interested in purchasing a unit send me an email at Horizontheater2020@gmail.com
I bought this 8K Player One. Unlike the 4K Player One, this one tends to crash when starting movies. Since it now has Android 11 instead of Android 9, is the version still a bit buggy? A/V Sync is not yet supported and the HDMI Audio Only output is missing. Is there already an official bug list? I usually stick with the $K version, everything works with this one.
You do realize the AC is being converted to DC inside the unit right? If the internal DC conversion is not of the quality for an AV device and needs an external DC source for clean power, that's not a very good selling pitch..
I have the R Volution 8k, and it is quite bit faster than my Zappiti Neo with the r Volution app. That is faster at navigating and generating cover art. I also, feel the 8K is faster than my Zidoo Z9x pro. I was hoping the 8k would be faster, but I'm running two Naas with over 2k amount of movies and 4K+ TV episodes.

The Zidoo is NOT a superior piece of equipment. It may have a better/faster interface but as far as the tech is concerned, it's not.

This is something not promoted due to licensing however it is multi region

This is Interesting. So it crashes at movie start up more than the Zapitti signature does?
That's the first I am hearing of these issues. I haven't had a chance to set it up yet but I probably will over the next couple of days.
Sorry you are experiencing these issues.
How do you transfer files stored on your PC to the hot swap bay on the front of the player.
Thanks
What type of computer are you using? Windows or Mac?
@ Windows,
The better power supply, capacitors, Furutech inlet, and all the shielding will bring results in sound and picture quality.

That's great information. Thank you for sharing that. I am just getting started with the review of the player on 8k. Look for it soon
