When you think about it, pistons have an absurd amount of torque. So when moving that fast, they add more momentum into the system when you have more weight!
Okay Hear me out i messed a lot With pistons and i Comedy Across something… you get a Good amount of power in cirkiling when u dont subtract a pisten into hinges more pulling the heads from them away from their bottom when u now use the hinge u get a cicular force Like a Servo but way stronger
I know how it works, there is no drag in front of the fins, so when you retract the pistons, the craft doesnt slow down, but when you push the pistons, the fins push the craft so you move, what you need to do is time the pistons to go in and out real fast or find a glitch that does that
Oh, you managed to make it constant speed? I actually had found something like this that could push about 300km/h. It was everything but reliable and I had named it the "hop drive" because of how it worked. Sadly I don't think I have it saved ;-;
from my testings, it's not really kinectics based (at least in my version, didnt really download yours), it's more speed based from what i got... from mine, it gives the "kinectics" thing because of the initial jitter that gives it a little boost to make it able to do its thing, because while i'm freefalling above 100km/h, it starts up and works normally(stops randomly jittering at 200+), no impacts needed and it's really weird how higher weight make so it goes faster, was able to get it up to 260-ish km/h while horizontal edit: tested it a bit further using thusters on detachables, and the speed based theory seems accurate
I tried to make an engine using tire colisoins, but the tyres kept on flying out. I bet you could definitly make a really stong engine from it, but i sandly cant.

I missed your videos Storm. Are you planing on working in the propulsion industry? Your ideas surprise me everytime.
Not switching entirely but definitely looking more into it :)
the amount of just brute force "this is going to work" mentality is fuckin wild like who hurt you 😭😭
🤣EVERYONEEEEE🥲😭

good luck with everything you are going through, only love and support here ☺❤
:D
New storm trailmakers vid... it's a good day today
Also hope ur doing good 👍
Thank you so much gab :))))
glad to see you back!!
btw if you ever need time off, i understand, you are more important than any amount of viewers
Skylarrrrr!!!!!! Very happy to see you again. Thank ya so much for your support:)

And i also Found a super high jittering thingie with pistons and Suspension
Oh and when u use the trieangel Suspension u get Like 200 km/h in circular motion
8:38 it because there's so much weight on the main bit that it stops the jitters
Thank you for the explanation:)
One of my favourite techsmiths, hooe you're doing alright mate, always remember to take time for yourself
6:44 heheh hmm wonder what that's about
My favorite trailmakers youtuber uploaded, haha, its you! Wish you the best!

I heard toxic wisdom playing in the intro and subbed
XD thank ya :)
"a lot of new splitters" xd

new engines, woo!

I also had the problem that it sometimes gave speed in the backwards direction

A way to stop the jittering on the split engine is to tune down your Pitch Gyros give it more room to Correct itself and the jittering should stop
Neat

fire intro!

Jitter drive
XD
I’ve seen tech similar to this that abuses the zero drag and pistons for extreme ground manoeuvrability in Reddit before.
