Just starting the video but can already tell the amount of work and dedication behind this. That's the kind of free content we're truely blessed to have so, thank you so much. Your work is appreciated
Genuinely thank you for making these guides. League is in constant change and it sometimes overwhelms me and discourages me to keep playing the game I've loved for over 10 years now. These guides bring me back to earth and let me enjoy the champion that makes this game enjoyable for me. Gg's! Impressive that it's all subtitled too. It helps massively as a fellow non-native english speaker
I played an in house versus a grandmaster past challenger main support, and played Bard blind picking twice. I applied every step you say in your guide as much as i can. I have a looot of games on the champion but peaked Emerald 1. I won both games, he recognized i gapped him both times. You gave me KEY insights on how to play the champ and how to have a plan in mind at all time. Thanks so much. I’ll keep grinding following your guidelines. Thank you so much… Having this for free feels unreal
@@kabrurabi If you would have 100% slow (Hypothetically, rounded up max level'ed Zilean's E which is 99%). You take 25% from that number and it becomes 75% slow, bcs of deadman's plate slow resist. Then from that 75%, you take another 25% and that number becomes exactly 56,25% slow. So the effectiveness of boots of swiftness on the final result was around 19%(18,75% to be precise). Thats how most % stats work in league (% magic/physical penetration for example).
As a masters bard player, I've watched you for all up to date bard builds and guide. Thank you for always staying on top of the curve. One thing that I still have mistakes with, is playing too aggro in lane. The newest bard builds do not provide a lot of damage to efficiently trade in lane. If I get to late game on bard, my win percentage is crazy. Something to constantly remind myself of.
Thanks a lot for this video. Bard is my favourite champ and I enjoy to play him. Even if I started to play him cause I thought "Hehe I can do a little trolling" and played with mobafire drunk bard guide I started to love this champ. From ap tinman builds to dmp I always changed my play styles and cause of this I have certain problems with lane phase and not fully understand what my champ is. Evading ult mistakes, playing more aggressive wich causes bad mana usage and make me roam more for chimes is my typical mistakes and now I understand my lane phase more. Ap bard always makes me feel that even it's mid-late game I can use my q for harass enemies, but now I understand that q is not my main button I need to always press and I need to look more for stuns. Gonna start to avoiding more of bad habits and learn my champ more. Truly the bard bible thanks master
hey lathy! just want to thank you for making such an in-depth guide for all of us. It's not very often you see so much care and effort put into videos in the league space. We appreciate everything you do! :D
*SEE REGULAR PATCH UPDATES HERE* Hiya, editor here providing y'all with regular updates and amendments to the guide as new questions and patches come in. If you have any questions about specific item interactions, please look at the FAQ section towards the end of the video, your question is likely there. We certainly don’t mind the comment algorithm though:p ------------------ *FAQs:* *Is Heartsteel good?* Nope, not a good item for Bard as it scales with champion health, meaning it’s only good for champions that stack health like Sion and Tahm. *is Knight's Vow good?* It can be good to buy after DMP if there is one massive carry that acts as the one-and-only wincon in your game. *What should you buy against APC botlanes?* DMP is still useful because of the movement speed, and slow resist, and you can go abyssal mask after. Abyssal mask first is not good because the 12% damage isn’t very valuable when the team hasn’t ramped up their damage yet. *Is fleet still good?* Nope, not good as the movement speed and the heal have been heavily nerfed. The precision tree also isn’t great for us with the only exception being Triumph. *Is Cosmic Drive good?* Nope, bad as the movement speed boost was heavily nerfed a few patches ago. *Is Wit's End good?* Nope, bad as every aspect of the item was nerfed a few patches ago. *Is Redemption good?* Sure, not a bad item to get against dive champions, as they typically dive into one cluster, making it easy to both heal and damage multiple members at once for maximum value. Definitely an item to get after Deadmans, *Why is tank Bard better than other builds?* Bard is a short ranged champion and needs to position in melee range to get the most out of Q stuns. *Is it worth getting aggressive runes and items like electrocute to make Bard’s early game better?* No. Bard’s strength is in the mid-late game, so compensating for Bard’s early game goes against his champion identity. In general, you’re always better off focusing on bolstering a champion’s strengths rather than compensating for weaknesses. *How is the enchanter build with Locket, Shurelea’s, Redemption, Mikaels, etc?* Some of those items could be good with a tank build like Locket and Redemption in certain situations, but a full enchanter build likely won’t be as good. Bard needs to be up close and personal to guarantee Q stuns, so building enchanter items makes you much squishier. Bard excels in longer fights to get all his Meeps out and multiple Q stuns, so going tanky will give you more value than going enchanter. *When do you build Locket?* It's a good item when going against AOE champions like Diana and Karthus, building it after Deadmans and Abyssal, possibly even as a last item depending on what the game needs. *Is Grasp good?* No. Grasp requires you to be in combat for 3 seconds before the next auto procs Grasp. In laning phase, you want fast trades rather than long ones, so you don’t often proc Grasp unless it’s the enemy going all-in. You also only get 3 max health with each proc as a ranged champion, and the damage is miniscule, to the point where you might only average about 450 damage or so by the late-game. It sure feels satisfying though:p ------------------ *PATCH CHANGES* *Patch 25.S1.2* - Electrocute Bard is indirectly nerfed. The feat has been thankfully changed from first blood to first 3 kills. Because one kill isn't weighed so heavily, going electrocute is slightly weaker since getting a kill with it isn't nearly significant. Electrocute wasn't exactly strong as a pick anyways, but I thought to mention it here since some people might ask about it. - The buffs to the ward runes in the Domination tree don't change Bard's best runes. As a concept, they're still too weak, and we're better off buffing our own stats so we can just take over their jungle instead. ------------------ If you read all the way down here, thank you for being this dedicated, you're GOATed
Me thinking finishing this video will need multiple sittings because it is a long one. Then being surprised that I already have been watching it for 45 minutes and it is already over.
Another questions: 1. Is fully support bard out of meta (locket, redemption etc) 2. Is the mosquito build still viable? 3. What about fleet Footwork against mages e.g.
Love the guide as always Lathyrus! What’s you’re opinion on early aggro Bard Builds for season 15? Like going Electrocute and Imperial Mandate second. I’ve been having some success as games tend to be very chaotic at the start now, but do you think you’re giving up too much when running runes and items like those?
Nice video man. I'm just wish that You make a video and show how to play with the rune "Unsealed Spellbook". Like You said it's very hard to use, if You teach some tricks and tips with this rune with bard, you know, like a GamePlay; i will be very gratefully with You man. (Excuse My English 😅) Greatings from México 🎉
Good video, but i have a question. Lets say you lose feast of strength, would you still buy ionias boots over swiftness? Personally i love movement speed because it allows me to do everytring faster (positioning faster, ward faster, roam faster, etc) They also help me when im out of possition (i shouldnt be out of possition, but im not the best player ever and sometimes i make some misstakes)
Hi Lathy, i got a question for you When i'm a position of "i need a last item" or "i need dmg", i have some issue when its time to chose between bloodletter's cruse and liandry. I know that liandry is good against heavy hp team comps, or in late game because everyone has hp anyways but i've no idea how to make the choice between the 2 items, any tips ? Thanks a lot sir for the content and i hope you gonna reach your stream goals
This guide is insane, thank you so much! I just had a question about the 3 first meeps. Why do you bother taking them before lane starts (as you're already full mana and your level 2 powerspike is very weak) instead of keeping them to come faster to lane after your first recall?
Lvl 2 is weak yes but it's still around 500 gold in stats and hitting lvl 2 before enemy botlane gives the advantage that u can trade a bit harder than notmally
Thanks Lathyrus! And also, what do you build if there are a lot of ap on the enemy team but close to none in yours? You would still go for DMP->AbMask->Bloodletters or DMP->Static->AbMask or even DMP->Kaenic->BloodLetter (ignoring)? Because Mask's passive would be basically worthless
I've been watching your streams and love the video btw, about Statikk as you said in the video it's pretty flexible but most of games you haven't been building it as of late. Is it better to build other items like Bloodletter, Liandry or a tank item than Statikk?
What do you think about Heartsteel this season? I know the changes make it a little less desirable but I have had some limited success with it. I've honestly not tried a whole bunch as Deadman's rush does feel safer but a few games I've taken it and done well. What's your thoughts?
So you never buy control wards, only if they got invisible Champions? I watch some other high elo supports who buy a lot of these. Is it only a rule for bard?
I dont really understand The idea behind building bard tank. He doesnt have any features like other tanks in the game, like gap closers, shields, tons of cc. Can you explain why The Green runes and why tanky Build?
Bard is quite short ranged filled with utility slows on autos and short cd on Q with can stun 2 targets, to get the most rotations out we build tanky to stay in the fight and be able to position in the middle of the fight to peel both front and backline
Just starting the video but can already tell the amount of work and dedication behind this. That's the kind of free content we're truely blessed to have so, thank you so much. Your work is appreciated

What a nice comment! Now, could you explain this to my dumb brain, please?

you actually want lich bane first, then nashors tooth, and shadowflame. With Hail of Blades you can pretty easily one shot squishies
I think you probably discussed this before, does shiv give a lot more value than liandrys?
It alows for tempo fix aka pushing lanes that are ignored by ur laners
Did you try the red rune tree with deep ward for example?
Why there are multiple items with different cost. Which is the real abyssal mask the 2850 or 2650
Dunno but 2650 is the real one

Deadmans
