I've used a lot of your lectures to understand most courses before I even start studying for them.
Your videos are awesome, simple and you're really dedicated.
Thank you so much for giving us all this for free.
I wish you had ads on your videos so at least we'd be able to pay you for your efforts.
    Thanks once again Dr. Cara

1:07:04 you said the oocyte is arrested at Metaphase I, I believe it is arrested at Prophase I in Meiosis I and at ovulation (post puberty) it is arrested at Metaphase II in Meiosis II until fertilization happens and then it completes Meiosis and kicks out the polar body while the egg finishes maturation and the sperm and egg create the zygote. This is what I was taught, please let me know if the information is incorrect. Great video none the less

Thanks for this videos you do an amazing job on explaining all the concepts. Am glad to have found your channel.
Was just wondering in meiosis 1 in females doesn't the secondary oocyte formed arrest at prophase 1 and then in meiosis 2 the secondary oocyte arrest at metaphase 2.

Please if gender selection progressed to phenotypic stage and beyond, how does one try to show preference for the unexpressed gender? Considering that at an earlier stage, one is a human without a gender selection: is it not right to explain to those who opt for feelings instead of sexual organs that it will be better to rely on functional organs instead of feeling?
