Buffalo didn't play Zucker-McLeod-Greenway. I'm assuming Lindy wants to see more of that Rousek-Krebs-Kulich line to see if any of them are worthy of a spot.
@@bretthaller2096 Bro, Krebs looks skinny, he never filled out, he gets pushed around on the ice which is why he gets so many penalty minutes, that is his issue, not playing 4th line minutes.
Mcleod, Zucker, Greenway and certainly not least; Dahlin - weren't even there. The new Team-wide Character they displayed so strongly tonight is f*ckin fantastic - very exciting.
The speed from the bottom 6 guys was noticeable. I didn’t expect lots of goals from bottom 6 last year but now I can see them getting odd man rushes and break aways on occasion. A more dangerous bottom 6 will open up ice for the top 6 guys
Dude………nobody is hyped up enough about Benson. He’s only 19, and was never projected to be here. But behold!!!!!! A second line winger!!! He has to end up an 80pt player by 21yo
Peterka, benson, Kulich is a great LW combo. One may have better chemistry with another line and Lindy can experiment in these preseason games. Kulich needs to stay up and is a potential game breaker and helps that second pp unit and possibly top pp opposite Thompson. And top 4 d all being left is fine but need to find the right compliments unless Sam drops to 3rd pair which gives them a very strong d on every pair
Zucher, McLeod & Greenway were held out. I expect them to play Monday instead of either the youngsters or the 4th line. Not sure what changes there will be on D. Gilbert will need game time before the Europe trip and Dahlin may be ready to return if Lindy wants to risk him. Levi has been announced as the starter on Monday. Never take much from pre season, all the players will in better game shape in the next couple of weeks. Buffalo did what they should have done given the quality of opposition. I expect some poor mental mistakes in the first few games, particularly whilst Lindy is bedding in his new system.
Only thing I disagree on is only have greenway out of the lineup from the starting NHL lineup. Mcleod and Zucker as well. I predict Krebs line all come out for those 3.
Lindy just coached Jersey. Come on man. They were called the Flying Lindy's and all he's talked about is playing faster while being more aggressive on the puck battles. Nothing he's said or done would indicate boring defensive hockey.
@@tedginty1178 ...against the Pens scrubs ? Of course I am. It's like allowing soft goals against a beer league team. You just can't have that if you want to win a Stanley Cup. It's just his mentality. He is not a championship goalie by any means. He'll be like Ullmark whereas in the regular season he'll do well but when it gets chaotic in the playoffs he'll shit the bed.
Can't get carried away here. I mean The Pens put their scrubs in the lineup we had our starting lineup. We should have blown them out and we did. UPL concerns me still and nobody is talking about it. During the last 5 months last year he did improve. However, last year as last night we would be winning going away the score was not in doubt and UPL would allow a questionable goal. I know it's nitpicking but if you want to win a Stanley Cup you need championship goaltending and UPL does not give us that.
Let's Go Sabres, great fresh start! Enjoyed listening to this show,Thanks Joe!

Krebs is ruined I think. Danny G got in his head playing that ,4th line for so long

@@itsrickus3582 If Krebs gets a spot over Kulich we riot.
Rousek earned his Rochester spot last night
I don’t think the pens played any full timers..😂😂

I went to take a shower after the 1st period and I come back and it’s 5-1 so I know that feeling Joe.

The first powerplay made me a believer. That is exactly how it should look.
That's what I love to see coming from Tage. He set the example for everyone else, in a very fine way.
Ideal lines would be:
Peterka - Thompson - Tuch
Benson - Cozens - Quinn
Kulich - McLeod - Zucker
LEAGUE SHATTERING 4TH LINE
Bryam - Dahlin
Power - Sammy
Jokiharu - Clifton
UPL
Levi

Peterka id rather see play with Cozens and Quinn and Benson playing with Tage and Tuch
@@bretthaller2096like Vanek , Pomminville , Roy . Came through Rochester together. Quinn getting hurt last off-season was terrible .
D-pairs should be:
Dahlin Clifton
Byram Power
Samuelsson Jokiharju

Watching this after the Columbus game and i know it’s only the preseason but damn these guys are looking good
I liked that Lindy played the regulars in the 1st game. Let them gel and be ready for the season
This season is going to be so crazy 😁🇨🇦🇺🇸

Tuch pass was forehand not backhand. Peterka beat the goalie glove side not his blocker. Kinda kills your mojo when you get simple stuff backwards
Greenway needs to be sent to the press box , top line minutes and gets praised for 30 pts . He's had enough of a chance.
Only thing I disagree on is only have greenway out of the lineup from the starting NHL lineup. Mcleod and Zucker as well. I predict Krebs line all come out for those 3.
Not the complete sabres lineup but a good one no McLeod or Zucker
Where did you get that hat??

Where’s the video with you and the Red Wings and Senators guys?
Lines
JJ - Tage - Tuch
Benson - Cozens - Quinn
Zucker - McLeod - Kulick
Malenstyn - Lafferty - Aube Kubel
Extras Krebs - Greenway
Dahlin - Byram
Power - Sam
Jok - Clifton
Bryson - Johnson - Gilbert which one
UPL
Levi

Dahlin Clifton
Byram Power
Samuelsson Clifton
Where was McLeod? If he’s hurt … I missed it during the week
McLeod wasn't a part of this group nor was Zucker. They'll be in on Monday.
It was his birthday
UPL allowed 4 goals to a bunch of scrubs?! Not good....
Does Pittsburgh suck or had a bad game ?
Unna PL looked really Shakey tonight looked like he did two yrs ago
you are gonna judge an NHL goalie by a goal of a pre-season game? Get bigger then that

2025 is for everyone 😁🇨🇦🇺🇸
Ruff will kick them in the fanny to excel u can count on it!
UPL letting in 3 goals against an AHL squad is not ideal, I will say that.
He looked awful on the 2nd goal. I have no idea why he pushed up towards center ice over pushing post to post
Well that’s not good
Yup couple of weak ones. He'll figure it out
The guy that got a hat is not a AHL guy. Just a slow developer he was a 4th over all pick by the Oilers. He has had issues with staying healthy.
All 3 were not by any AHL player. 1st game let UPL 6K kick off the rust
😁🇨🇦🇺🇸
Congratulations you beat the ahl affiliate to the penguins the wilkes/barre Scranton baby pens😂😂😂😂😂

Ryan Miller always let in a bad goal every game
