I'm not so concerned about Eichel. It just didn't work out. Reinhart is someone the Sabres should have never let get away, He worked unbelievably hard the last year he was here and they traded him for the sin of saying losing isn't fun.

Joe why are you reflecting? We all know Jack & Sammy are raising cups & nhl elite players........as much as i enjoy having TUCH & LEVI. Unfortunately, GMKA fucked up !!!!!! By moving on from both players. Versus paying Sammy & surrounding them with proper talent. They were key pieces for us regardless who drafted them.

Kevyn Adams didn’t draft Reinhart or Eichel, Tim Murray did. But Kevyn Adams traded both of them out of Buffalo. Based on how well both of those players have done for Florida & Vegas, and how badly the players Adams has replaced them with have played in comparison, Pegula has to fire Adams if Lindy can’t miraculously get these guys turned around an into the playoffs. I blame Pegula for allowing his team doctors to convince him Eichel’s back surgery his family and he preferred was too risky. I give equal blame to Pegula and Adams for that unbelievable mistake. However it was still Adams’ job to convince Pegula and his moronic doctors that it was more than worth the risk and to have his one NHL superstar’s back 100%. Reinhart, on the other hand, is 100% all Adams’ fault, because Pegula has given Adams full salary cap spending power. For some reason I will never understand Adams refused to pay his second best player what he was worth. For both of these NHL stars the common denominator for Adams was that HE didn’t draft them. Fine. HE had a better plan. HE wanted to find his own two NHL stars. Unless HIS players he traded for or drafted for that HE counted on as being HIS NHL stars, Tuch, Peterka, Kulich, Rosen, Power, Cozens and Byrum help lead Buffalo into the playoffs in April, Adams must go. Pegula should lean on Lindy Ruff’s experience to find a good GM to start over.

I supported granato until November last year when he was asked why they were so inconsistent. He said there was injuries and it would fix itself... It didn't. Then in December he started thinking about switching back to what worked the year before... Thinking about it while not being able to score at all. Granato can develop a young roster but he can't get them to take a step up in their game past their normal abilities. He literally got every player to lose their game and style and didn't even try to stop it until halfway through completely destroying their style

So you come in and say that they shouldn't have changed granato system but you posted it trying to send negative remarks towards Lindy but didn't post this last year bashing granato for completely abandoning what made them good the year before. He said mid December he was thinking about going back to what worked the year before... They were last or close to it. Granato changed the system himself and destroyed the team from progressing in that style game because he wanted to be more defensive while not improving the defensive lineup.

You're crazy to take of Roy and leave Eichel. What did Eichel do as a Sabre that Roy didn't? Biron would've been a better option than Hasek now If it would've including the 90s it would be different. Not sure if there was a better option over Myers maybe Numminen?

Great show, Joe. Yeah, there’s no world in which Eichel or Reinhart is winning the Hart. Eichel has had a good 1/2 season. So what? He’s closer to Aho and Schifele than MacKinnnon and McDavid.

OK, let's be realistic. There's no chance zero we make the playoffs. We need to take our heads out of our asses. Yes I'm talking to you Terry. No to Eichel! Why? Not just that he's a dick, it's his Sabres playoff stats. Not a leader here, racked up points on a bad team. Quarter-century STAT team, sure, put him there. Miro or Max are way more deserving to me! Hammerin' Hank also deserves the nod over Myers.

The problem with the Sabres is everything starting with Terry on down. Adams getting rid of Mitt’s and Skinny not finding a replacement. 2 years ago one point out and Adams does nothing. His last beauty of a presser didn’t help things. Not letting Lindy bring in people it’s so half assed.

Not surprised one bit by the standings. All off season I was waiting for a top 6 forward to get added to the team, sure the bottom 6 was revamped but buffalo desperately needed an impact player and adams did nothing. Here we are half a season later. Still no top 6 addition and another season lost

Remember when pegula purchased the team in'11 and said he will go all out in getting the sabres to win cups. Then he goes and hires 3 GM's and 6 coaches (besides Ruff ) with no experience. They never announced how long Adams contract was when he resigned. So we are stuck with a inept GM and players who are sporadically productive for awhile

I agree with you on Risto. While he’s 7th All-Time in scoring for the Sabres D, he has the worst +/- by -100! Sadly the 2nd worst is Dahlin, but he makes up for it in offense. And while I wouldn’t put Owen Power on this list yet, I would like to point out that he’s better than a lot of the people that want us to get rid of him thinks he is. In his short time with the Sabres so far, he is 26th All-Time in Scoring already among Defensemen, and is currently sitting at 30th when it comes to +/- for those that say he sucks defensively. Not too bad for a player that’s only 3 years into his career at a pretty tough position! While his P/GP are almost identical to Myers, Powers +/- blows his out of the water. Though I don’t think Power is ready for the 2nd team yet, he may deserve to be there more than Myers.

There are so many reasons to explain why this team is bad this year. A lot of them are valid but I keep coming back to just 2 of them: 1.) UPL (all of the goaltenders) are performing below average. If they were making 'gotta have that one' saves as much as last year, the standings would look a lot better. 2.) Cozens is a bust, and that creates an entire hole where an effective 2nd line should be. Cozens is bad, he's the only forward with more than 2 goals on this team shooting under 10%, he drags the powerplay down when he is out there, and is quite frankly the worst forward on the team without the puck. He needs to be removed and replaced, by almost anybody right now. If nothing else but those 2 things changed for the better, this would be a team fighting for, if not in, a playoff spot.

You need to be defensive oriented/ defence minded meaning responsible with the puck to be considered a legitimate mediocre playoff team
