Finally ! Amazing video ! I love how your designs are always ultra simple yet so perfect ! Why did you use RAM intakes instead of shock cones intakes ?
I like the music. And it's amazing how you manage to combine a week's mission into a few minutes and make it entertaining. Great job. Also, what is the music?
Cool idea but you put propellant tanks inside of each other. You can even tell by the textures on the front tanks not being evenly spaced like they would be without any manipulation.
yes the nuke recharges batteries very fast. DV depends on how much you use the detachable core , it is more than 10 000 DV from Kerbin orbit in this mission.
@@turbopumped6490 and - because of the detached core part - can we say is it a real SSTO? I mean you used docking ports instead of a decoupler, so beside the engines, there were no stages.
Everything that gets into Kerbin orbit in one piece is technically a SSTO (Single Stage To Orbit) . It isnt a pure single stage to tylo (SSTT), but it isnt a space plane with a lander either, since it lands with an integral part of the plane. Its a hybrid between those two, but much more efficient than both of them.
@@turbopumped6490 yes, I know what SSTO's stands for, that's why I asked my question. Anyway, I tip my hat sir, you did a great work! 👍 When I'll be prepared, maybe will do something similar. Any good advice?
Dont make too large or too small wings - 2 units of lift per 10 tons works best for me. Dont use MK 2 parts unless you absolutely have to, they create a lot of drag compared to the regular circular liquid fuel tanks. Fly level at first to pick up speed then keep the climb rate at 10 %
Some 12-14 hours for the mission I think, recording while doing a mission makes everything much harder and more time consuming. Completing the mission isnt enough, it has to look good too.
The way kerbals celebrate the return from a decade-long mission to the other end of the kerbol system (alone on the KSC's runway) is really sad.
Oof

The Kerbals are super durable because they live in super low gravity. 1 G on Earth is about 10 Gs on Kerbin.

Jesus. That was crazy. And the plane separating is such a neat idea, good bloody job!
Thanks, Im rather pleased with the modular design, it gives a huge increase in delta V - more than 10 000 m/s from Kerbin orbit.

Not necessarily.

I love the sleek and simplicity in its design. Has a quite nice silhouette as well.

A great craft for beginners, without needing to learn gravity assists and all that.

Thanks :)
The ingenuity of KSP players never ceases to amaze me.
How do you make the camera zoom to a planet when you do adjustments to the maneuver node like 1:01 ?
Just click on the targeted planet and select focus
And I thought that making a Mün SSTO was cool... Turbo Pumped will never stop surpirsing its audience!!! Congrats!!!
Tylo, a kerbin without life and an atmosphere.
laythe is just kerbin with an atmosphere but not life (*yet*)
Very well done! Smart as well.
That's a really clever design! I'm amazed!

You make my sstos seen as advanced as bi planes
Its crazy what you can do in this game. Great video once again
Nice to see you again!
The 1 dislike is from Tylo itself. Understandable.

man i have been missing these
_Nice!_ Especially the piloting at Tylo!
Is this even an SSTO? If it is, I think this design is a TH-cam first. If it isn't an SSTO, it's still impressive.

It looks like a MiG-25 and an F-15 had a baby.

Does it count as ssto if it comes apart?
Henry Zhang it’s an ssto on kerbin so that counts
It is able to get to Tylo orbit in the single stage as well, so it's still 100% an SSTO.
it only temporarily separates and comes back to kerbin in one piece, yes?

those are not stock manuever nodes i presume. And are those stock docking ports? hard to belive there is no wobbling. Impressive feat nevertheless
Everything is stock. The lander doesnt wobble because its wing pushes it up against the mothership, thus keeping it stable.
