    Paddleboard fishing is my jam!! Nothing like fighting a fish whilst trying to maintain your balance on the board. Even better when you have people walking by that get to witness your feat of awesomeness!

    I’ve been debating on an inflatable paddle board or a folding kayak because I don’t really have a place to store a regular kayak. That thing looks awesome, and I can’t wait for the next few videos!

    • @FishAnything
      @FishAnything  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally, I would go with a SUP over a folding kayak. I have never tried the folding kayak but I have watched several videos and seen them in person and they look very unstable / not suited for fishing. Just my opinion! The SUP gives you a tremendous amount of customization options and it is super comfortable for simple fishing trips too.

    • @RoamingWhispers

      @@FishAnything I really appreciate that suggestion, and from your videos I can tell this is actually made for an angler. I’d also like the cooler as an option too!!

      Definitely a super fun rig. I feel like it is worthwhile for folks who like to throw and go, but also for folks who simply like water recreation in general. I have had just as much fun using this as a paddle board as I have a fishing platform.

    That looks cool. I am sure you could put a chair on it and then stand and sit as you need to. If you hook into a decent size pike, it could get you going about 5 or 6 mph kind of like a free torqeedo. Looks super fun. I have been looking at the NRS inflatable kayak. Something lightweight and easily stored. I wonder about the wind pushing me all over though. Thanks for the video on the new and improved channel. 👍

      Thank you Paul! Definitely going to be a fun piece of equipment. I don't think I will rig it out too much - I like the simplicity as it is.

    • @FishAnything
      @FishAnything  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still have my old fish finder (Lowrance Hook2 5X). And I don't think I will slap too many gizmos on this rig. I think it is better suited for simple fishing trips with lesser gear. It has the capacity, but it cuts down on speed/comfort to add a bunch of stuff.

    It's certainly provides anglers a choice but for the money the kayak seems to be the way to go. More gear can be taken in the kayak plus the kayak provides greater stability on bigger water. As I said it's a choice but it wouldn't be worth $800 to me.

    • @FishAnything

      That is a foam pad on top. The little lines are pretty unnoticeable and I assume that is for water to drain off. It is incredibly comfortable! And the seat just straps down but I can't quite figure it out. Feels a bit cheap so I think a cooler being strapped to the tie-downs would be the way to go. Add a little cushion if you'd like.
