If I had a favorite moment from Hocus pocus it definitely be when Dani called Winifred ugly. And that was Dani's mistake. Tha biggest mistake that Dani had ever made. Dani not knowing that she would pay for calling Winifred ugly later on in the film. That is why people say think about what your about to say before you say it. It's like when they say be careful what you wish for. But in this case it's more like be careful what you say. because you never know how someone will respond to you or respond to what you say.
Has anyone else wondered if those caramel apples the mayor is obsessed with have some type of potion in it that makes him so nice? Since his ancestor was an awful person, maybe instead of taking the whole bloodline out, a witch cast a spell for them to be nice people..overly nice lol I kept waiting for a reasoning as to why he was SO obsessed with the apples.
I got to talk with Doug Jones Billy Butcherson, and the actress who plays young Mary in the past 2 weeks! I love this movie, I no joke think I've watched it about 20+ times. Like 2 times a day, I love it, was born on Halloween so it's just my vibe and comfort movie!
1] In regards to shot of the "Rotten To The Core" banner, I think it would've been so cute and funny, if one of the sisters, upon noticing the second line, said, "Who couldest ask for more" as a way to cheekily reference the opening song in the first "Descendants" movie. 2] A rumor has been going around that the sequel novel, which introduces fans to the fourth and eldest Sanderson sister, Elizabeth, could serve as the basis for a third film. If/When that happens, the powers that be at Disney could add a twist to this part of the plot, tying it into the popular fan-theory you mentioned about Alison. They could make her a distant relative of Elizabeth Sanderson. While her ancestor rejected the practicing of magic altogether, Alison could've decided to use it for good, which would explain why Winifred called her, quote, "a clever little white witch". When did they ask the Devil for the book in the original? I only remember the plaque in the house when it was a Mueseum, most likely stories handed down from the witch hunters of Salem

They assumed the Devil would be able to help them locate the book. I would say that yes it’s a retcon in a sense, but an easily excusable one
In the dancing crowd there’s also a woman dressed as Madonna like Max and Dani’s mom in the first movie. There’s a scene in which Winnie is looking into a house and see’s a couple watching Hocus Pocus and it’s the seen with Gary and Penny Marshall and then you see sitting on a bench a couple that are dressed like their characters from the movie.
The song at the beginning of the movie is the exact same song beat with lyrics changed from Netflix The chilling adventures of Sabrina The song was called “straight to Hell”. And the song the Sanderson sisters sing is also done in the 90’s tv show Sabrina the teenage witch. So it seems they got a lot of inspiration from the Sabrina series for Hocus Pocus 2

I agree that there is something very engaging about Sarah Sanderson. However, as the eldest of five children, I love Winifred the best. My siblings are lucky that I never treated them the way the Winifred treats her two sisters.
